I no sooner posted this than I got an email from Undercover Tourist giving people a heads up that the annual ticket rise is coming and that their current inventory at the lower prices will run out fast. There's a banner up on their home page now too that says " Buy Now & Lock in Our Lowest Prices! Last year, the ticket price increase at Walt Disney World and Disneyland happened the earliest it had in a long time. As reported by Inquisitr, it was 2016 that seasonal pricing was introduced for one-day tickets and some new expiration policies were implemented in 2017. 2017 Price Increase Date: Feb. 12 Increase Amounts: $0 to $5 2016 Price Increase Date: Feb. 28 Increase Amounts: $0 to $19 2015 Price Increase Date: Feb. 22 Increase Amounts: $3 to $6 2014 Price Increase Date: Feb. 23 Increase Amounts: $4 2013 Price Increase Date: June 3 Increase Amounts: $1 to $6 2012 Price Increase Date: June 3 Increase Amounts: $4 2011 Price Increase Date: June 12 Increase Amounts: $3 Going back farther than 2011, the ticket price increases typically happened in August going back to 2006 when they happened in January. Now, those with Annual Passes also need to be prepared as the prices on those typically go up at the same time as the daily tickets. Walt Disney World and Disneyland have a lot of projects going on right now with new rides, brand new lands, and a lot of other exciting events. In order for those things to take place and become realities, it’s going to take the money needed to build, and that is where the ticket price increases come in. However with the several Florida resident specials they had last year, the Florida resident tickets going out and being sold at grocery stores and the Canadian special is it likely that they will raise the prices this year? Monthly plan for 3 passes went from $87.89 to $94.80. Guess we must've renewed previously before the prices rose in 2017. What was odd, for Dec, Jan, and Feb. we didn't make any payments for 2 of the passes that expired March 1 2018. I had called and they said we were paid up and they were "free" months. Price Of Minnie Van Service Also Increases At Walt Disney World Sunday marked a huge day for Disney Parks as ticket prices increased on both coasts, but there are plenty of other things that went up in cost as well. In California, Disneyland saw prices go up on most tickets and annual passes for those two parks. In Florida, Walt Disney World saw ticket prices go up across the board as well as the cost of parking, but those wanting to use the Minnie Van service are going to have to fork up a bit of extra cash as well. The new Minnie Van service started last year and has been expanding to different resorts all across Walt Disney World property. Most recently, the service started heading out from select resorts to Orlando International Airport (MCO) for departing flights, and it has proven to be quite popular too. It’s a great alternative and additional option to the Walt Disney World transportation system when the boats, buses, and monorails are just overcome with other guests. Unfortunately, all good things must have a speedbump, and that is what the Minnie Vans developed this weekend. As reported by WDW Magic, on Sunday, February 11, 2018, Minnie Van service saw an increase in price for those wanting to get a quick ride around the property. Since its debut, Minnie Van service could be used for $20 per ride, but now, it is going to cost a little bit more. As of Sunday, the price of the service has gone up to $25 for those wanting to use it for rides to the parks, Disney Springs, or to select resorts. As of February 11, 2018, here are the resorts participating in the Minnie Van service: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Contemporary Resort Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Pop Century Resort Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Yacht Club Resort As of now, the Minnie Van service is still very limited for transportation to Orlando International for departing flights. I would definitely consider using it to get back to the Fort from a water park, or from AK Lodge.
