Beckers 1,136
Read some rumors swirling around that Talking mickey will be done away with in May.
DaveInTN 3,247
I haven't experienced talking Mickey. The concept seems creepy to me.
Lou... 3,118
With readily available voice synthesizer technology, I don't understand why they don't have characters speak. The system they use for talking mickey is not state of the art and requires several off-stage CMs to pull it off.
slices 16
Hoping this is just a rumor, planned to see talking Mickey on the last trip but didn't manage it. Next trip isn't until July.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
DinDavie 37
My son in law does a prefect mickey voice, lives just north of Orlando and once worked at the Magic Kingdom as a trumpeter in the parades. He would be perfect for this job if they allow Mickey to be close to 6 feet tall. Hm, maybe not.
Beckers 1,136
From what I read it sounds like it’s causing confusion that one Mickey talks and at all the other meet and greets he doesn’t. Sounds like an excuse to save a buck (although I totally agree I can see how it would confuse a child). Because our last trip I intentionally tried to skip seeing talking and non talking to avoid questions. But it was pointless because Adam noticed zippers on costumes. CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Talking Mickey is so much fun! Glad we got to see him a couple of times.

Already questioning the Mouse. Give him a couple more years and he'll be complaining about the prices and wondering where the cinnamon rolls went.

Katman1356...Jason 1,140
Grandma lit up with wonder when she met him and he talked to her. It was great.
AuburnJen 777
To me it is totally creepy only because I grew up with the fact that none of the characters talked at the parks. To my son, who loves the technology concept, it was really cool to interact with Mickey Mouse. Although, honestly he would rather interact with all of the dark side of the Star Wars characters.
