caveat lector 181
Kind of de-values on premise stays.
shaffecv 12
Yes and the 60 day fast pass reservations also.
LONE-STAR 370
I saw that yesterday, it was already hard enough to get a good fast pass.
kadancer 82
i was not thrilled with this either. Especially since we generally have to go in the summer and use the early entry to avoid some of the crowds.

But they are on DISNEY property, I didn't know that till last month. Even every hotel has DISNEY's cable system.

The competition is already pretty stiff to get the rides you want just competing against WDW resort guests.
Breezy2 18
Guess they can control early entry but the evening hours- LOL! Those guests have always been there at night and no one checks and asks them to leave. Yes, maybe they can' t get on rides, can't verify that, but its not always about the rides. They are just legitimizing a part of the crowd that already exists and forging their relationship with "other" branded hotels on Disney property. Once again, clever marketing. momof3kids-Yvonne 596
From what I see it is a specific seven hotels. If I remember correctly a couple of the ones listed were already eligible for the extra magic hours. Also to take advantage of the extra hours they have to stop and pick up vouchers at their hotel. Someone also mentioned in a comment that the reservation had to be made directly through Disney not the hotel's website. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
It sounds like it's going to be a mess if reservations have to be booked through the Disney website and the guest have to get a voucher from the hotel. Both for guest and CMs.

Both for guest and CMs. That is the kicker. No way would I book one of those hotels through Disney. I would only stay there if booking through a discounter or with points or something of that nature, Also, if I'm staying offsite, it's because I want to save money, so therefore, I'm staying somewhere on 192. I have never found anything on Hotel Plaza Boulevard that was worth what they were charging.

But even booking thru the hotel, you end up paying a parking and resort fee, which can come to a 1/3 of the cost of your discounted room rate. mileshigh
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn on points a couple of times for 1 night when we arrived, to move over to a Disney resort the next morning, and yes we were charged parking. WrigleysWagon 32
We enjoy the extra magic hours, but it always seems like half the rides, attractions and shops are closed. It's a little easier to move around, but still the same old wait to do anything. On the plus side we use the extra time to just enjoy the little nuances that we often miss fighting crowds and the clock.
Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
I enjoy the nighttime extra magic hours especially at the MK when we are at the Fort. Mostly because I'm a night owl, I usually just end up wandering around, maybe catch a ride here or there if the lines are reasonable, and enjoy the park with a few less people and not as hot. mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
The late night Magic Hours were awesome when our kids were teenagers. They don't get moving till noon anyway, so it was nice to not have to drag them out early, but instead go to the parks on their schedule.
Travisma 1,317
Just announced that The Four Seasons now is participating in this program. But there is a difference in the Fast Pass. One difference between the Disney Springs hotels and the new Four Seasons offerings is the 60-day FastPasss+ reservation window. Guests at the Four Seasons still only have access to the same 30-day reservation window that all guests with park tickets have. This is surprising considering that the Four Seasons is much more luxurious and higher end than any of the seven Disney Springs hotels. https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2018/03/13/four-seasons-orlando-just-got-one-of-the-best-disney-park-perks-out-there
geoffdaddy 33
I have to wonder what leverage these resorts had over Disney to allow for this. Doesn't seem like it's in Disney's best interest.

DaveInTN 3,247
The best Extra Magic Hour strategy is to attend whatever park that day that does not have EMH.
