However, the only reason they're doing it this way is because it can be advertised as an amenity for Reflections. I bet they will push carriage rides, trail rides and pony rides, and perhaps even offer some grossly overpriced equine therapy sessions among the various spa packages they'll offer. It will be with a Donkey/Mule and the CM's will know it as the Jackass Sessions. Disney fanatics are fleeced for every last $$ so they have bragging rights that they did everything at the resort. keith_h

DaveInTN 3,247
Looks like a boat dock in the top right corner of C-104. Also, I knew they were planning bungalows but I don't think I appreciated the fact that when sitting on the side porch at TE you'll be looking right into them. What a cluster this plan is. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they'd do the right thing by Fort Wilderness and create a beautiful, complimentary resort. But this doesn't look good. It truly is taking over the settlement. keith_h, Tri-Circle-D, geoffdaddy and 1 other

I have to believe that they aren't going to want golf carts and Fort guests near their pretty new resort. TCD

TCD Coincidentally, beginning this fall Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino will begin offering the Naughtily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party. Enjoy a buffet dinner at Minnie's Ho Down Smorgasbord, a private rooftop VIP viewing area for the nightly show, plus the fireworks, followed by a whipped cream dessert extravaganza. Only $249pp. Guests of Loop 3000 will also have access to the FWG lounge including their famous bottomless kungaloosh mugs. keith_h, wendinator, BradyBzLyn...Mo and 2 others
ImDownWithDisney 342
Also the preferred loops, 400, 700, and maybe 800 are going to be within earshot of all of the cars coming and going, slamming doors, screaming kids, etc. The full hookup loops will be the new preferred lol

It also looks like the Settlement Bus Stop is going to be covered by the new parking lot. I wonder how that will be handled? TCD
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Does anyone have a guess what is depicted in the top right corner of the plans? I don't think that's a canal. Is it a road? TCD Whatever it is, part of it seems to infringe on the back of some sites in 100. There is an existing canal of sorts there already, but I agree this doesn't look to be a canal. My guess is that is the access to the new beach area. It appears all of Clementine's Beach will be bungalows. I had originally thought there would be two beaches one for the new resort (Old Clementine's Beach) and the one they seem to be constructing would be for the Fort. I wonder if the new construction will mean just one beach? I wonder if that would be a shared beach or just for the Fort?
Starbuc71 162
I know I can be a complainer and even a Debby downer a lot of the time, but this is just BS. What the hell are they doing? They own so much land and they are purposely building this right on top of the fort. Iger ruined Disney. He has no love for the fort, just money. I’m sure we can debate DVC all day here, but in my opinion it’s just another cash cow scam. This gets me so upset that the most peaceful and beautiful place in all of Disney is slowly going to the wayside. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until something drastic happens at the campgrounds. Can you imagine the people that will be going to the campfire and the meadows pool once this is built? I’m sure there will be a card reader to get into the resort but nothing to get into the fort. So so sad. I’m glad we had the memories we did. Good luck faithful Disney campers. You’re going to need it

geoffdaddy 33
What torques me is that they could have thrown some money at improving the campground instead... but now they are making it smaller.

I wonder if the new construction will mean just one beach? I wonder if that would be a shared beach or just for the Fort? Why would they put a dirty beach in a DVC? I'm sure they will have an upscale A/C area for the guests to watch the fireworks and the Electric Water Pageant from while sipping on their fancy drinks and eating their caviar. On a side note, we watched the pageant from the Poly Beach a while ago, and the music seemed to be a lot quieter than the Fort. Is it toned down around the resorts to keep from disturbing the guests? I mean at the Fort you can hear the music from just about every loop.

Since they will undoubtedly give the DVC folks a bus to the MK, they can shut down the Fort marina too. That will cut down on the boat traffic going by those $3000 a night bungalows.
