h2odivers...Ray 952
And isn’t there another 13 story high rise resort going up by the Swam & Dolphin? However, IIRC that will be a Marriott owned resort.

It certainly wouldn't be the first (or 50th) time the CM rumor mill was wrong. Agree. I was just so surprised how many CM were telling the same story. And then to have the front desk manager at WL repeat the rumor???

I believe it is a 15 story tower that has approx 450 rooms. Yes but I consider the tower they built in that location to be consistent with the theming of the existing CR. I think a nature inspired resort situated between WL and FW should blend into nature, which I think a 15 story tower would have a difficult time doing. However like I noted before, I've been wrong before and disney often surprises me. And not always in a good way.

Agree X2 if they do build a 15 story building, and I hope they don’t, it will be hard to make it blend into the area. I just can’t see how they could do it.

They also released updated artwork for the big tower they're adding to Coronado Springs. Like this- it looks like a sleek generic hotel. It doesn't match the previous theme of Coronado Springs at all. I really hate the direction they've taken with these new resorts. I guess theming cuts into the bottom line too much. We can't have that. TCD They ditched their original plans for THAT???!?
djsamuel 322
Demolition of River Country should be starting shortly. Also, the entrance to the new resort will be a separate from Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge, coming off of Vista Blvd.

PGHFiend 140
Saw a video of the new Coranado Springs tower yesterday. Looks like a big holiday Inn express, and ruins the theme of the resort with all of the existing low height structures. Hopefully this isn't what they are building, but I could see them recycling the blueprints elsewhere on property.
PghBob 31
At the Fort now. New (to us) survey markers in place: 1. In the grass immediately adjacent to the Settlement bus stop and the road 2. In the large open field between the bus stop and P. Hall 3. Between Trails End and the playground. 4. In the trees between the playground and the beach. Asked a bus driver about the survey markers adjacent to the bus stop, he replied he didn't know. He did say a few other things, but I'll put those in the Rumors Section. BradyBzLyn...Mo and PGHFiend

PghBob 31
Would like to upload pictures, but (blushing) I don't know how. Never done it. A couple of new things: 1. There are now yellow flags from the Settlement bus stop running towards PH that indicate a natural gas pipeline. 2. A couple of survey markers are out on Clemintines Beach, about 5 feet in from the shore line 3. Vegetation between River Country and the shore has been cut back providing a great view of the ruins 4. We took the boat from FW to WL, and the boat driver altered course to give us all a closer view of RC, and reported that construction of the new resort began "last week".
