Travisma 1,317
Start with the Non Disney. Saw an article the Merlin Entertainment has approached the SeaWorld conglomerate about purchasing Busch Gardens. There was't a lot on info, so I don't know if it would be just the Tampa one or a package deal with Williamsburg also. Recently it became known that Merlin Entertainments would be interested in acquiring Busch Gardens should the opportunity arise. Merlin, the world’s largest attractions company after Disney, would be a natural fit for Busch Gardens. Especially the Tampa park as they could bundle tickets with Legoland, the Orlando Eye, Madama Tussaud’s and SeaLife Aquarium. Merlin chief financial officer Anne-Francoise Nesmes recently was quoted as saying, “It takes two parties to do a deal so we do not know what SeaWorld’s intentions are but we do believe that those assets [Busch Gardens] are interesting and we could certainly do a lot with them particularly around accommodation, so to us it’s about having the right discussion with a willing partner and making sure we have the right financial return.” Seaworld is in a heap of hurt right now. They have never recovered from that Blackfish documentary and their stock just took a big hit yesterday. Now the Disney rumor. It's been leaked that Beyonce stands a good chance of being in the Lion King remake The casting of the The Lion King remake has been all-star so far—Donald Glover will voice Simba, James Earl Jones will reprise role as Mufasa, and so on. Meanwhile, the voice actor of Nala is still unknown and rumors say that it might be Beyoncé. Director Jon Favreau expressed before that he really wants Bey to voice the lioness. Apparently, even Disney is set on making this happen. “[Since] it’s a voice-acting role, sources say the studio and director will do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule,” Variety reported. While it’s not officially confirmed yet, the odds are still high. Movie Pilot noted that “Beyoncé is nearing a final deal to produce the soundtrack and voice the lioness.” Once she’s confirmed, the soundtrack might contain new songs from the singer apart from the classic tracks. Just imagine: Beyoncé, the queen of Pride Rock. It’s got a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Alfre Woodard and John Kani join a cast that includes Donald Glover as Simba, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, John Oliver as Zazu and James Earl Jones reprising Mufasa. Chiwetel Ejiofor is also in talks to play Scar. Looking at this lineup, many of The Lion King's main characters are accounted for, but there are still a few key roles left to be cast. Beyonce was being eyed to voice Nala, but so far there's been no word about whether or not she's officially signed on. Then there's the question of who will voice Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, Scar's hyena goons.

But, Busch Gardens being bought by Merlin would be good for both parties to that transaction, and what's wrong with Bey playing Nala? TCD
