AuburnJen 777
It looks like they have matched the offer currently being given to Annual Passholders and DVC members. http://www.chipandco.com/tables-wonderland-members-can-now-save-30-disney-world-277407/ Quote Great news if you are a Tables in Wonderland Member. Your discount at select Walt Disney World restaurants has been increased from 20% to 30%. The restaurants included in this offer include the following: Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Port Orleans – Riverside Captain’s Grill at the Yacht Club Resort Citricos at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Flying Fish at the Boardwalk Inn Jiko At Animal Kingdom Lodge Olivia’s Cafe at Old Key West Resort The Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa The Turf Club Bar & Grill at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa The Wave at the Contemporary Resort To take advantage of this offer, you must dine when dinner is offered and before 6:30 pm or after 8:30 pm. You have until September 30 to take advantage of this offer. This discount increase matches the recently announced 30% discount for Annual Passholders and DVC Members. However, there is a difference between the two discounts as the Tables in Wonderland offer includes alcohol.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
They're pushing this one hard enough to actually spend some money promoting it. Got this in the mail today...
Travisma 1,317
Are these restaurants hurting? Someone posted a picture from HS at 6:30 this past Sunday of the front of GMR and no one was in the picture. They walked on Toy Story and RnRRC and had a 10 minute wait for ToT. Is the MK and Food and Wine the only draws (besides Pandora)?

Well, Disney isn't offering these discounts out of the kindness of their hearts. They jacked up the prices, and lowered the food quality, and now they have a lot of empty seats. They want more butts in the seats, and will take a little less $$$ to get suckers guests in the door (but only before 6:30 or after 8:30). TCD
h2odivers...Ray 952
Isn't this time of year typically slow for WDW except weekends at F & W at Epcot?

Hey Disney, toss us a bone, we support you year round, not just once a year! Get real. The discounts are not a gift to passholders. They're only offering them because the full service restaurants are such a bad value that they are losing business. It's a cash grab, not some kind of reward. Im curious if all these cost cutting ideas are taking place industry wide or if it's just a Disney thing.

We very rarely eat out, but when we do, we go to places that have coupons. It seems like we have been getting a few more coupon deals in the mail recently.

They don't care about the long term. They care about posting a profit this quarter that beats what they did last quarter. No matter what. They don't care about the future of the company. They will have all of their fortunes socked away. Who would want to go to some run down theme park anyway? TCD

I've not seen anything about extending discounts yet. If the fall season picks up as it tends to in October, I doubt that will happen. But if attendance/spending stay down or aren't up to [insert $$$ level here] they just might.

Agreed that sounds like things are still slower than usual. I'd imagine Irma put a sizable dent in things as well.
