MicknMin...Holly 54
So I went out today and started looking at bread machines. I only found three different brands, but my guess is that there is probably going to be a better selection once Fall gets here. Here is what I found and the price that they are asking for it. Please let me know if you know anything about any of these.Food Network bread machine $119.95 at Kohl's. I have a 15% off coupon that would make it a little cheaper.Breadman bread machine $139.95 at Kohl's. Same 15% off coupon.Oster Express bake bread machine $69.00 at WalMartI did look on Amazon and they have quite a selection and various prices. What do you think? Do you have any thoughts on any of these?
SCTigerCock 171
What a bread machine do special? Why use it and not an oven?
Keylime359 2
Holly, I have a breadman and I have yet to take it out of the box. I got it on Amazon last year around Christmas when it was a gold box deal. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FZZ0VEThe one that got the best reviews was this but you would have to be committed to buy it. http://www.jr.com/zojirushi/pe/ZOJ_BBCEC20BA/The loaf I made today was from the oven. If you want I can help you make it. The reason I did not use the breadmaker was laziness. It was so much easier just to make the dough and stick it on the baking stone. My mom swears up and down that the bread maker makes better bread. She just plops the stuff in and away she goes. She makes a lot of fancy bread with wheat and so on. I will use my machine for that but basic bread takes 10 min of prep (active not resting time)

You just make yours in the oven? Maybe I'll give it a try tomorrow. I'm trying to not go to work, but I'm not sure I'll get away with it. My first official day back to work is Thursday, and I am already dreading it. Making bread might make my last day of summer a lot more fun!
Keylime359 2
Call me and I will talk you thru the process. It is so easy! I have had a breadmaker before and I liked it.(Gave it to my Mom who uses it a lot) I am just too lazy to clean it. It is not hard to clean, but I am just a wack-a-doodle.
