AuburnJen 777
http://www.chipandco.com/future-future-world-epcot-276363/ Quote As you know, several huge announcements were made at this year’s D23 Expo. Disney released this awesome “Blue Sky” concept photo hinting on the changes that are to come to Future World. Our friends over at Inside the Magic dissected the photo and broke down what the future holds for Future World. Let’s take a closer look: As one would imagine, the park’s iconic Spaceship Earth will not be going anywhere. However, the area to the rear of the ride appears to be significantly reduced. It appears that the Innoventions and character meet and greet buildings will be demolished with the completion of the re-imagined Future World. It appears that the space currently occupied by the Innoventions building will be replaced with vegetation. We also may see the the entrance to the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction in this area. It was just announced at the Expo that this attraction would be replacing the current Universe of Energy. On the west side of Future World, it looks like a new maze-like hedge structure and water area look to be installed in front of the Land. The Club Cool and Mouse Gear buildings appear to be getting some extensive renovations if they are not even completely removed. Maybe we will see a completely new dining option along with a new merchandise shop. One last thing to point out from the “Blue Sky” photo is the addition of a new water feature at the entrance to the World Showcase. It also looks like some new walkways will be added to make it easier for folks to get to the World Showcase from Future World. Keep in mind this is all just speculation at this point. Disney was very careful to say during the announcement of the changes coming that this is an initial look at what may be to come but many changes can happen between now and when the dust settles on the new Future World. Travisma 1,317
Walk ways straight across the lake? That would be fantastic and make for some much needed shortcuts.

I've noticed that the boats going to Germany and Morocco aren't running that often.

It's a pain to have to take the circular routes around either side of the park when you're tired or it's raining. They have an empty area right in the middle they could make a shortcut thru. keith_h 420
It'll never happen. Short cuts mean less opportunity to sell you stuff.
DaveInTN 3,247
That's why I remain surprised that they opened up the park exit at MK that bypasses Main Street and its shops. I predict they will eventually add shops along the new exit path. Sent from my handheld doohickie
keith_h 420
They've got drive through liquor stores. Why not drive through Disney stores as you exit the parking lot? dieseldave

Why not drive through Disney stores as you exit the parking lot? They have a stand at the MK exit and a couple of stores at the TTC for your last minute shopping. Busch Gardens has a turkey leg stand and pretzels set up just before you get to the trams at discount prices.
