disneylitch......Debbie 61
We are looking for a campground in Florida on the way to The Fort. We usually stay at the St Mary's KOA, but we are looking for something a little closer to Disney this time. Thanks
ependydad...Doug 176
20 miles down the road is Pecan Park. We've stayed here multiple times- get a Passport America discount and it's an affordable overnight stop. Paved pulled thrus make it an easy overnight. Or a little further down the road, we stayed at Stagecoach RV in St. Augustine, FL. We hadn't stayed here before but would go back. Friendly folks and long pull-thrus. Avatab.... Steve 124
Does it have to be a Campground? We have stayed at Cracker Barrel off of I-4 for the night a couple of times, and also overnighted at a Sams Club lot that was next to a Walmart Grocery Store that was just a few miles north of WDW. No problems at either except for the street sweeper at 0500 hrs at the Sams Club lot..... LOL
Triple S 3
I know this is an old post but...we're heading down in November. I'm looking for a place off of I-75 for overnight. Preferably before the Florida Turnpike. We will get on I-75 from I-10 east. TIA for any suggestions.
LONE-STAR 370
All our over night has been off of I-10 not 75. Not sure if your wanting hook ups or just a place to park but we have stayed at Gulf Pines KOA in Milton Florida several times but that is not the location you asked about. How ever if you just are looking for a few hours rest in the night with no hookups Busy-Bee''s gas station is about 10 to 20 miles before you hit 75 off of i-10. We have pulled in there at 2 a.m. filled up with diesel then slept for 3 to 4 hours and bought breakfast and hit the road.
Triple S 3
Thanks for the reply Lone-Star. We will be getting on I-10 in Cottondale Fl. We will need power for the a/c since we're going the first of November and it can still be warm then. I'm mainly looking for around a 2 hour trip to the Fort from where we stop. dieseldave 5
We always stay at Ocala Sun RV Resort in Ocala on our way down. It’s about an hour and fifteen minutes from the Fort. The overnight spots we have always stayed in were pull through level grass spots. They were adding on to the resort last October when we stayed there so things may have changed. Triple S 3
Thanks for the help Grumpy and Diesel. I just got through looking at Sun RV Resort right before I came back here. It seems like a good place to stop for the night.
