Was anyone at the Fort yesterday (Sunday 7/16) and get affected by the big storm?

We left Avalon Park area out the Beachline past the airport heading to Tampa around 5:00.

We hit a huge storm right after we left and were in it until we got near Championsgate exit.

It was flooded roads, can't see the cars in front of you rain.

I saw one post on FB this morning saying there were awnings down and some EZ ups broken, and lots of flooding.

I left the UCF area to head home from work around 4:30.  Hit some very heavy rain on the 408 and the Turnpike.  had been raining hard at our home in Clermont. 

On the drive to work this morning I drove through Disney on my way to the 417.  Looked like a lot of the standing water had been absorbed, although the ground is obviously saturated.  Nothing looked really bad though.

 

i saw on a later FB post that everything seems fine at the Fort now with much of the heavy ponding of water now gone.

When I saw the title I thought it was going to be about Weather Report.

Son and father at the Fort Sunday.  Storms were impressive.  Impressive enough that they checked the site for damage afterwards.  Fortunately, all was well.

It was really nasty driving thru it, and it covered a large area.

Glad everyone was ok.
