AuburnJen 777
http://www.chipandco.com/end-one-mans-dream-hollywood-studios-274730/ Quote We are hearing speculation from The Disney Blog that One Man’s Dream at Hollywood Studios will soon be closing it’s doors for good. There are several large expansion projects currently underway at the Park with the addition of Star Wars and Toy Story Lands. The rumored plans for Toy Story Land calls for the removal of the building that houses this nostalgic attraction. It sounds like Disney archivists are already planning a trip to Disney World to personally collect the items and materials on display in the attraction. These items will be added to the Walt Disney Archives. A part of the exhibit, “Walt’s Office,” has already been packed up and sent to the Walt Disney Family Museum. With this news, hopes are dashed that this iconic attraction will not be relocated on Disney World property. One Man’s Dream was originally installed as a temporary exhibit in 2001 as part of the 100 Years of Magic Celebration. The attraction celebrates Walt Disney’s life and legacy with artifacts and a video narrated by Jule Andrews. Most recently, the building has been home to Moana and currently Star-Lord and Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. Trailers for upcoming Disney movies have also been shown in the exhibit including Cars 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean. We are anticipating to hear the official opening date for Toy Story Land at the D23 Expo this weekend. At that time, we will probably receive more details on the official fate of One Man’s Dream. Chip & Co will be reporting live from the Expo so make sure to keep it right here for all the breaking Disney news. While it will be sad to see it go we definitely were lucky to able to enjoy it for so many years since it was planned as a temporary exhibit. Will you miss it?
