The Tampa Bay Times had an article recently saying how smart a USF architecture student was for building her own Tiny House. The photo of her creation showed it parked in a trailer park. She and her father provided all of the labor, and still spent about $18K on it. What's the point?: http://www.tampabay.com/news/humaninterest/usf-grad-has-big-plans-for-her-tiny-home/2318633 That's not a tiny house. It's a homemade travel trailer. Only it's probably heavy as hell and nowhere near as mobile as a travel trailer. TCD At least it looks a lot better than some of the fire traps I've seen in the long term seasonal campsites. A few years ago on a 4 wheeling expedition into KY, there was a "rooms available sign" and sure enough someone had converted Yard Barns into bunkhouses and they were being rented out on a nightly basis. Someone in our group said that it wouldn't be long before someone attaches axles and wheels to one and starts traveling.
Avatab.... Steve 124
I also cringe when someone on the Tiny House Shows talks about traveling.... I can see building one as a guest house/MIL house or putting one on vacant land you own, but traveling down the highway with it? On a regular basis? No way.
