Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The folks at Travel and Leisure magazine posted an interesting article on their site where they ranked every single ride at WDW from worst to first. http://www.travelandleisure.com/trip-ideas/disney-vacations/best-worst-disney-world-rides#intro I found it very interesting, and I think they got it mostly right. Except they ranked some rides way to low- like The Great Movie Ride, Carousel of Progress and the Country Bears. And, they ranked some rides too high, like Soarin' and Toy Story. Also, since it is one of my personal missions to find errors in on-line articles, I would like to point out that they photo they used for the Tomorrowland Speedway is from the Autopia ride at Disneyland. If you were the one doing the ranking, would you have the same #53 or the same #1? I know that I wouldn't. TCD
keith_h 420
Not number one for sure and well Ellen might be one spot too high on the list. Personally I would put the Haunted Mansion higher on the list as it has always been one of my favorites.
Travisma 1,317
Personally Country Bears and Muppets would've been a lot higher on the list. And why was Dumbo so much higher than The similar Aladdin and Dinosaur rides?
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
No way should Everest be #1, not with Disco Yeti...... The rest of the rankings are not too bad, except for Carousel of Progress. Stitch is too high on the list also
DaveInTN 3,247
Here is the official DIT Ranking of Every Ride at WDW....note that I have not experienced the Frozen ride, so ranked it at the bottom (other than Stitch, as there is no conceivable way the Frozen ride is worse than Stitch). In Maelstrom form, I would have put the ride around #14 or so. 1 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 2 Splash Mountain 3 Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith 4 Space Mountain 5 Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain 6 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 7 Haunted Mansion 8 Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover 9 The Barnstormer 10 Walt Disney World Railroad 11 Pirates of the Caribbean 12 Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress 13 Toy Story Mania! 14 Spaceship Earth 15 Star Tours — The Adventure Continues 16 Test Track 17 Peter Pan’s Flight 18 Soarin’ 19 The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 20 Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress 21 It’s A Small World 22 Kali River Rapids 23 Jungle Cruise 24 The Hall of Presidents 25 The Magic Carpets of Aladdin 26 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 27 Prince Charming Regal Carrousel 28 Country Bear Jamboree 29 Muppet*Vision 3D 30 TriceraTop Spin 31 Kilimanjaro Safaris 32 Monsters, Inc. And, it's scary how close this looks like it would be to my list. I would rank the Safari and Dinosaur higher. When I stop and think about it, I have a very hard time getting started on my list, because I can't resolve what rides to rank #1-5. I'm going to take a stab at this. Stay tuned. h2odivers...Ray 952
Is Ellen's energy even open any more? of it is it should be last. It would be hard for me to rank the top five. I love pirates of the Caribbean, but because I've ridden it since I was 6 years old But that doesn't make it the best ride at Disney World. It's just my favorite My top five favorites are, and in no particular order... Pirates of the Caribbean Safari Soar in toy story mania splash Mountain.
Travisma 1,317
Am I missing it, or did the author forget the Wildlife Train Ride at AK? Since we're a little older and tend to just take it easy at the parks, most of our choices are places to relax, either a mild ride or a sit down attraction. So I'm just doing a few top relaxing choices 1: Muppet 3D/Country Bear 1 1/2: Tiki Room, forgot about it. 2: MK Train 3: AK Wildlife Train, if you don't get off at the Conservation Station 4: The Land 5: Peter Pan If you want to work up a sweat 6: Toy Story Mania/Buzz Lightyear

Yes it's still open. We rode it a few months ago because there were rumors at the time that it would be closing soon. It is so long. Except for the dinosaur part, which is so short. I don't think I would rank it last, but it would be in the bottom 5. 12 minutes ago, Travisma said: Am I missing it, or did the author forget the Wildlife Train Ride at AK? I agree with you- it's a nice train ride. TCD

Cutting edge stuff back in the day. But, wow, it is painfully long. TCD

Last time we rode it (and it was hard convincing our granddaughter to wait for it to start) it either broke down, or someone decided to get off while it was moving. They had kept announcing to stay in your seats while the ride was in motion. Once we got out of the building via an emergency exit, they had the entire area blocked off and we couldn't even get into the side door of Innoventions.

Dumbo worse than Ellen's? I know it's been a while since ridden Ellen's energy but really? do your two youngest know you feel that way? Lol.

But to be honest, when I made my list I was forgetting about the double Dumbo's and better queue now. Back when it was one ride with that ridiculously long wait, it was much worse. I could maybe move it up a few spots, but not more.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
DIT, I just realized that you goofed on your list. I used your list to work on mine, and somehow ended up with only 52 rides. On closer examination, I figured out that you listed Carousel of Progress twice, and omitted the Tiki Room. You big dummy. But I guess that tells us what you think about the Tiki Room. TCD

Although that seems a bit high. Maybe I'd put the Tiki Room around 30 or so. But if they added a bar to the place serving alcoholic Dole Whip floats, it would go MUCH higher. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
This was actually pretty hard to do, but here's my list. As I was working on it, I realized that the American Adventure was also omitted from the Travel and Leisure list. I don't understand why that would be excluded, but Hall of Presidents would be included. Seems inconsistent to me. Anyway, here's my list. I am kind of surprised by how high I ranked the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but I honestly would prefer to ride it over the rides I listed after it. The bottom ten or so are interchangeable, as far as I'm concerned, but I do feel strongly that Stitch belongs at the end of the list: Space Mountain Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Jungle Cruise Haunted Mansion Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Pirates of the Caribbean Splash Mountain Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain Peter Pan’s Flight Test Track Kilimanjaro Safaris DINOSAUR The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Country Bear Jamboree Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress Walt Disney World Railroad Toy Story Mania! Why wouldnt you include , Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage. Fantasmic! Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. Jedi Training Academy Disney Junior - Live on Stage Voyage of the Little Mermaid. nemo festivsl of the lion king
