I heard different reasons from different CMs, but the most plausible seems to be that Disney is moving the gate towards the MK. The reason is to permit we Fort dwellers and the car care traffic access to the roads we use without stopping at the gate. This, in turn, will shorten lines at the gate area for those going on to the MK. Fact or Fiction? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Here's an old post that has a drawing of the plans: It looks like they have cleared the land to dig the new retention pond that will be going in to the east of the toll plaza.
