The white water river raft adventure now opens an hour after park opening, which means a 10am start for most of December, and 9am for the busy Christmas week when the park opens at 8am. Kali Rapids will close for a month long refurbishment on January 3 2017.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Cold weather? It was in the mid-70's by 9 am today, and is projected to be 74 tomorrow morning at 8 am. This is just a cost-savings move. They are giving all the Kali River CM's less hours, and the savings automagically go to the bottom line. TCD

Sweating like crazy yesterday putting up the outdoor lights. We did have what, 2 chilly mornings last week? They are predicting a cold front coming in and the temps may drop this coming weekend. Maybe they are practicing for that. When we went to WDW Black Friday and Saturday I mistakenly wore my winter shorts. That was not fun. Should've worn my lightweight ones. Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
I'm with TCD it's a cost saving thing. It can run at 9am when the park opens at 8am, but won't run till 10am the days the park opens at 9am that makes. They could just say "this attraction will run at reduced hours" instead of blaming it on cold weather. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
keith_h 420
I don't know. I remember my little brother apologizing more than once that the temperature was a frigid 68 degrees before noon. The cost savings angle does have more credibility though.
