AuburnJen 777
I have linked the video from the article and there are MANY pictures as well, which I will ask for you to click on the link to go and look at. The pictures are really nice because they also have the comparison to the concept art underneath the actual picture as well. It was neat to look at. My question is on the pictures....drone? helicopter? airplane? thoughts? http://wdwnt.com/blog/2016/11/photos-video-aerial-view-construction-hollywood-studios-latest-progress-toy-story-star-wars-lands/ video credit: you tube and wdwnt.com h2odivers...Ray

I just don't understand why they had to get rid of SOA, light, motor, action, and the other attractions to add the new lands. It is not like Disney doesn't have plenty of land to do any expansion it wants to.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Thanks for the link- I did look at all of the photos. Very interesting. Toy Story Land is a lot smaller than I envisioned. It will be a nice addition to the park, but I think they should have added a bit more to it. It does look like it's moving along way faster than the Star Wars part, which is somewhat good news. Also, in this day of acronyms, they really aren't calling one of the rides Alien Swinging Saucers, are they? I guess that could be the name, awkward acronyms didn't stop them from naming the All Star Sports resort. TCD
AuburnJen 777
Ok guys, but I am still pondering how the pictures were taken.... drone? plane? helicopter? man in balloon? thoughts?

Helicopter is my guess. Its not moving enough for a plane and not smooth enough for a drone. You can see spots or something on the glass the video is taken through. There were videos like this one when New Fantasyland was being constructed, and I've also seen some showing the progress of Avatarland. I have always figured these are from the contractors working on the project. TCD
AuburnJen 777
I guess I would have to be as they are so restrictive of their airspace. Don't get me wrong, I am all for them not hovering around all the time. I was just wondering because I know that they have the drone permits now and people are now very adept at flying those things. Starbuc71 162
I still think Star Wars land could have been built in future world at Epcot or it could have been an "actual" addition to HS instead of a replacement
