AuburnJen 777
Thanks to wdwnewstoday (wdwnt.com) for this breaking story. They are on display. If you are at the event, please post what you think of it! Apparently they have all the new ways they are planning to have them available. http://wdwnt.com/blog/2016/11/breaking-magicband-now-puck-new-style-debuts-destination-d/ photo credit: wdwnt.com
Travisma 1,317
Wonder if they are any stronger? Just keep it in your pocket, or on your belt, or under your hat!
Beckers 1,136
I'm interested to see these, they look a lot larger and I can't imagine them on my kids tiny wrists (and I don't like the idea of lanyards for the younger kids and a key chain? Nope). Will be interested to see how these go and when they start.
keith_h 420
If they are wider and more flexible they might be more comfortable to wear that the current ones.
Beckers 1,136
I read passholders will get them next month and Resort guests starting in January, and the puck comes out with a special screw driver that will be shipped with the bands. My resort stay starts 1/4 so I'm interested to see what we get.

AuburnJen 777
This is an eyewitness account from my very dear friend Arthur Lyons. Several of you also know him. He is a regular on many of the FB Disney boards. He has one of the puck bands and here is his opinion. I can't wait to get mine just because they are different and I can say, yeah, I have it. lol photo credit: arthur lyons, facebook Arthur LyonsMousejunkies Yesterday · I have been bombarded with questions about the new Magicband 2s. so some blanket answers: 1. The new bands have not been released yet and will be soon. 2. They fit well and I don't feel they are too "bulky". They do indeed have the new softer material of the more recent generation 1 bands. They don't slide around on your wrist so the Mickey icon stays centered. 3. The old bands will indeed be phased out completely, but any of the old bands that you have will work for the rest of their battery shelf life. 4. The center "puck" of the new bands are removeable, and the new bands come with a small screwdriver to remove them and place them into a different colored band or one of the new fobs. The pucks have the color of the band they come with, so they will not color match a different colored band.

twiceblessed....nacole 433
Personally, I don't care for them... I think they're big. I could see men liking them. However, maybe they'll look better in person.
