twiceblessed....nacole 433
Brand recommendations?
caveat lector 181
I'm curious too. It's no small investment. But seems like a wise investment
ftwildernessguy 778
I use a Tire Systems Technology TM 507RV. I like it because it has replaceable batteries. I have had it for several years, have had to replace the batteries twice. It monitors up to 18 wheels, tire pressures and temps with a high low setting for each parameter for each wheel. Helmsey......Todd 134
I have an older model TireMinder TPMS and have used it since 2013 with good luck. I think it is the model TMG400c.
twiceblessed....nacole 433
Thanks. Corrected the title... I had typed in the acronym too quickly
twiceblessed....nacole 433
Opinions on this one? Has good ratings on Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/STEELMATE%C2%AE-TP-V2-External-Sensors-TRAILER/dp/B017RERFQI/ref=sr_1_1?srs=2601303011&ie=UTF8&qid=1468866122&sr=8-1&keywords=TP-V2
twiceblessed....nacole 433
Okay... nevermind. Looked at the reviews more carefully and they were all for other products the company carries (really dislike it when Amazon combines stuff like that!! Very misleading )
twiceblessed....nacole 433
So, apparently you can buy a flow-through or non flow-through TPMS. I think most TPMS systems are a simple screw on/screw off...so I imagine that adding air is not tricky (in which case) I'd go with the non flow-through. Thoughts?? ftwildernessguy 778
At the time I bought mine, there was no option. Today, I would probably opt for a flow thru sensor. While mine do screw on, they require a special wrench to remove it. The sensors are what is expensive in these things, making them highly pilferable. I have a couple wrenches, one in the truck and one in the trailer. I had a bad sensor once and the darn thing cost me around 80 bucks to replace. Multiply that by 8 sensors and you can see why these systems are so costly.
BennieH 11
We have the TireTracker TT-500 system. Works good and the sensors have replaceable batteries and the monitor has a rechargeable battery built in. Recharges with a USB cable (included). It came with 10 sensors and locks for the sensors. The monitor has a lifetime warranty. The sensors are not the pass through style. Really didn't matter to me.
twiceblessed....nacole 433
Thanks all. We purchased this set: https://www.amazon.com/EEZTire-Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-System/dp/B009BE069Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1469654088&sr=8-4&keywords=RV+tpms
