libbylovespluto 1
Do they rent kayaks at the Fort? I could swear I saw kayaks last year, but can find no mention of them on the Disney site. I want to rent a kayak this year! :) Easier than a canoe for one person. Is there a schedule anywhere to see when the farrier will be at work? I'd like to go down and watch. The electrical water pageant. Can you still go down to the beach with a chair and watch it? Or have they put the kibosh on that after the GF tragedy? Thanks, getting so excited for November! Grumpy and Grandma 740
Never saw a schedule for the farrier. When we've seen them they are working out of their truck on the back side of the stables. Latest word was fireworks viewing at the beach was still allowed.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Yes, they rent both canoes and kayaks at the Fort. Or at least they did up until the recent changes since the alligator attack. I'm sure they used to list this on the official recreation list, but you're right, it's currently missing: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/recreation/ I would guess that after things settle down a bit, they will resume the rentals. flzman89 3
Canoe rentals are back up and running. We haven't done it yet so I can't say if any of the rules have changed but they have added a new fence to the loading area. This picture was taken after the bike barn closed at 5, so the closed sign is up.
LONE-STAR 370
Thursday a canoe passed by our site in the 500 loop.
libbylovespluto 1
Thanks, I see a couple kayaks there. Can't imagine the length of the new kayak rental liability waiver now. Thank goodness there are 6 alligator signs in this one area. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
