bdm 47
This is a Michigan State Park in the north west corner of White Fish Bay. We were here the week after Labor Day 2015. As with every Michigan State Park we visited the campgrounds have no water, or sewer at the sites. But did have power!! Upon entering all of the campground you go past a dump station that has fresh water so you can fill and empty your tank before you park. We were at this park for 4 days and it was AMAZING. Now if you go this far north, be sure to bring all the supply's you need as a small gas station is about the only place to get supply's with out driving the hour + to Sue Saint Marie. Tahquamenon has two camp grounds. The more popular and bigger one is the Falls Camp ground, the one we stayed at is called the Mouth of the River Camp Ground. Its just as it sounds right on the Mouth of the Tahquamenon river where it dumps into White Fish Bay. There are maybe 60 RV sites and another 30 really primitive sites (no power, vault toilet). The bath houses at all Michigan State Parks are kept very clean and they are all identical from each other. While there both my wife and I showered in the bath house to conserve water and we were camping with a 11 month old who was asleep at 7pm and up at 7am. The site we had was AMAZING, right on the river and the sun set over the river each night and it was beautiful. This link will take you to ca google map of the location we had. It was a back in spot, but the road loops around and makes it very easy to get into. There is not much to do that far north other than visit the Ship Wreck Museum, check out about 5 light houses, some of them are and hour drive down a sand/gravel road. But if you want to get away form everything, including cell service.. this is the place to go. Notice NO other Campers around :) The view of the river from our camper. It gets cold at night so a campfire is in order. Don't we look well rested and ready for sunset?

We didn't see them at the lower falls, but we hiked up along the falls and up the river a ways and did see several of them hunting in the river.
