ftwildernessguy 778
On your next trip to the Fort, stop by the Gator Grill in the 3000 loop for some grilled gator tail, gator bbq, gator nuggets for the kiddies, gator bacon for breakfast served with gator eggs, and be sure to take home some gator jerky! Travisma 1,317
All kidding aside, I would be more concerned about mosquitos and those yellow flies than gators.

keith_h 420
I'm not a fan of gator no matter how it's prepared. On the other hand a nice pair of gator skin cowboy boots are right up there with python. Both of which are readily available in Florida.

I agree, don't really care for gator meat, but don't wear boots either, instep is too high to get them on.
ftwildernessguy 778
I found it to have a sweet, sort of fishy taste. A lot like crawfish but a little sweeter. The texture was like snake. I served in Louisiana with a bunch of Cajuns who felt sorry for me because I was unaccompanied and brought me stuff to eat. I've had gator and snake almost any way you can imagine.
