momof3kids-Yvonne 596
We have a trip coming up next weekend to Memphis. I have a list of possible hotels where we might stay. The thing is I know some of you have used Travelocity or Priceline to get good rates. Can you share how you go about doing that. I don't want to book something without knowing what it is and come to find out it was a hotel I was avoiding because of questionable reviews.
Travisma 1,317
Priceline can be tricky to navigate. My wife is good at it, at least for the Orlando area. One way she narrows it down is to compare amenities on the full site with the name your own price part. Not 100% accurate, but pretty close.

Travisma 1,317
She mainly uses Priceline and Hotwire. If you stick to the non bidding parts of th apps you know what you are purchasing, but it's moe expensive. She sticks to the higher stars and customer ratings when bidding. GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
You can usually pick the specific area of town. Then I do the same thing and compare amenities. But if there are some hotels that you want to avoid it might not be a good idea.
PGHFiend 140
I have had great success with lastminutetravel.com We have scored some pretty awesome deals, and if they withhold the name, they do show photos that if you just right click your mouse you can search the image on google and it will find the hotels real name 9/10.
