keith_h 420
I like the hollow orange baking idea's. I make something I call a deli roll which is similar to the pizza roll but with no sauce. I never thought of trying to bake it is foil over a fire or grill. Might give it a try our next trip out. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I really want to give that orange one a try! Hmm... there isn't much snow right now. I think I can still get to the firepit.

bhall 115
I gained 7 pounds reading this thread. Thanks!
rtguy007 74
Reading this is really making my cabin fever worse. We used to do what my BIL calls a hobo pack. It was similar to the #15 but was more like a meatloaf slice with potatoes and green beans around it. We have started getting into the cast iron over the campfire the past 2 years. Made some really good pot roast a few times. Wanting to try chili when we are able to get back out.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
We used to do the burger hobo meals on scout camps all the time. The great thing is we could prep them before leaving, then fill a cooler, then just pop them on the fire on Saturday night.

We've always done potatoes and/or veg that way, but I never thought to just throw the meat in too. 1 hour ago, momof3kids-Yvonne said: Banana Boats are one of my favorite.
