Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
Sorry Kassie is still struggling. Has her medication arrived? Will this be something she struggles with for the rest of her life?
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Very nice photos! I love seeing pictures of things we would not normally notice. Thank you! I've taken so many thousands of pictures at WDW that I try to find the "not normal" ones -- like looking left when everyone else is looking right. Sorry Kassie is still struggling. Has her medication arrived? Will this be something she struggles with for the rest of her life? Her myasthenia gravis medication arrived last week, and we can tell a difference. She has more energy, is doing things she hasn't been able to do for months. But that medication won't help her regurgitation problem. Some days I hold her upright most of the day just to keep her food down. I think this will be a lifelong struggle.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Sunday, November 15 Sunday was thankfully warmer. But the day started off on a bad note when a bicyclist jogging his dog entered our loop going the wrong way and almost ran David and Kassie down. Went over to WL to have breakfast at Roaring Fork. Then we went over to AK again. I rode Dinosaur by myself because David was tired of it. I wanted to try to get some photos with different camera settings. Then we started the trek to Africa. Construction update: We went through the Pangani Forest Trail, but the only gorilla we saw didn't cooperate: There were few decent opportunities for photos on the safari. The new Harambe Market is a nice area! Then we went on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, but the one tiger we saw didn't cooperate much better than the gorilla did. It just wasn't a good day to see animals. Next up was FOTLK. I never get tired of watching the show. We left AK and went back to the Fort. Roto Rooter was working throughout the Fort. We never did find out why. After taking Kassie for a long buggy ride, we had dinner at TE. This is only my first round:
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Wow! Your photos just keep getting better and better. I can't believe how good your Lion King photos are-it's so dark in there! Same with the Dinosaur ride. Very cool shot of the floating mountain they were lifting in to place at AK for the Avatar attraction. I was just there last week, and that one is in place, but there are not signs of any others. They are taking forever on that project. TCD
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Thanks! So how are they holding those floating mountains up?
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Thanks! So how are they holding those floating mountains up? What do you mean? They float. They just need a really big rope to hold them down. TCD
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Then I don't think I want to walk under them.
Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
Roto Rooster was there working when we where there as well. Someone seriously clogged the pipes. ; 0)
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The Fort must be one of Roto Rooter's best customers. I've seen them there often. Here's a photo from the TCD archives from November, 2010: Why spend money to fix something right when you can just pay a few bucks every now and then for a quick fix? TCD
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Maybe we should all invest in Roto Rooter stock.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Monday, November 16 Monday was a beautiful day! Our first stop was EPCOT. TT was fun, as always. We then headed to World Showcase. Our first stop was at Australia for the Bush Berry Shrimp. We also stopped for this, but I don't remember where or what it was. Can anyone help? Next up was Honey Wine, Warm Chocolate Pudding, and the cheese plate at Ireland: We went back to the Fort and took Kassie on a long buggy ride again. After a quick dinner we headed out to DHS. Stopping here so I can keep my Osborne Lights photos together ...
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
We also stopped for this, but I don't remember where or what it was. Can anyone help? Seared Filet of Beef with Sweet Potato puree from the South Africa booth. TCD

ependydad...Doug 176
Your FOTLK photos make me feel like I am there! It's one of my favorite shows at the Disney parks. Great job!
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I have a floating island update. Here's your photo from November, Gwen: And here are mine from last week. So it took them two months to accomplish this: Could they move any slower? TCD
Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
Perfect example of imagineer vs engineer. One comes up with the crazy ideas (floating mass of rock) and the other has to figure out how to build it and make it safe. I would love to hear the conversations. CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Could they move any slower? TCD At this rate they may be finished by 2026! Perfect example of imagineer vs engineer. One comes up with the crazy ideas (floating mass of rock) and the other has to figure out how to build it and make it safe. CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Monday, November 16 -- Part 2 We made our way back to Streets of America and were herded backstage with the hordes of people who were also there. It was so crowded that it was really difficult to get decent photos. And here, without further comment, except that we were really sad this was our last time to see them. We said goodbye and headed to the exit.
Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
Your shot including the Empire State Building looks like it it lit at the top with the French colors. When we were there in daylight, it looked like it was painted up there.

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Tuesday, November 17 After breakfast I was outside waiting on David to finish getting ready. A Fiend I had never met came by for a vist -- dont! He doesn't post often, but he does read. He told me how much he enjoys my trip reports and was extremely complimentary about my photos. His comments made my day and convinced me to do this TR! Eventually David was ready, and we went to MK. First up was Haunted Mansion, and a tweaked the settings on my camera a little. I keep hoping that if I ride HM enough one day I will get stopped at the dining room and be able to get decent shots. Next up was Philharmagic, and then we walked back around the castle. Then we wanted a snack, so I got a Mickey Christmas popcorn bucket and David got a hot dog at Casey's. Talking Mickey was waiting for us, so we went to visit him. Then we went out through the gift shop ... ... and up to the top of the train station. It was time for resort hopping. We got on the monorail and hated this view: We bypassed the Contemporary since we had just visited there and went on to the Polynesian. It was disappointing that they had no Christmas decorations. So we went on to the Grand Floridian. The gingerbread house appeared to be finished, but it wasn't open yet. And their big tree wasn't up. Disappointing. We went back to the Fort and appreciated our decorations! We took Kassie on a long ride on DeeDee and then came back to Dolly and had Steph's buffalo chicken for dinner. That recipe is so good. I could eat it every week. After dinner we had a nice visit with Aaron and his family and Lou and Gail.
twiceblessed....nacole 433
Love the picture of you and David meeting Mickey...the smiles on your faces: awesome!!Oh, and the chicken recipe. ..thanks again for that, it was really good! !
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Thank you, Nacole! I still have some of that chicken in the freezer ... should pull it out soon.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Wednesday, November 18 Had breakfast at Trail's End. We went to the Magic Kingdom again to ride 7DMT. Then David left because he wanted to ride around the countryside awhile. I don't know where he went, but it seemed to make him happy to get off WDW property. In his absence I experienced some things he wouldn't have enjoyed. First I went swimming with Ariel. Then I visited Belle and was in for a big surprise. The entrance is totally different from my last visit! The last time we started in a room with a fireplace, several portraits, and stacks of books. This time I didn't see any of that. Next up was Pirates. I just can't seem to get my camera settings quite right. I was surprised to see her fancy stockings: After David got tired of roaming around, we met back at the Fort and visited a place he had never been. You'd never guess where it was! I'd visited there several times but couldn't get him to go with me. Then that day he said he'd always wanted to go there. Go figure. We visited with several horses. And then we ran into this fellow: He gives new meaning to the phrase "the happiest horses on the planet." We watched some of the horses getting a bath: and then took Kassie on a buggy ride. I cooked dinner -- crab cakes, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and asparagus. And then we sat under the awning and talked for a long time. That was the only time David sat outside with me the entire trip! Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
Wow I really like the close up of Walt with a blurred castle in the background. I have never taken time to focus on his expression. The horse picture made me laugh out loud, great job.
