pixiesteno 2
Hi all,We're leaving this weekend to go to FWC. As this is the first time we have traveled from our GA home I pulled the directions from goggle maps and it says to stay right on I-95S through Jacksonville FL. We have not driven through Jaxville since 2011 and took the 295 loop as 95 had construction. So is there a fiend out there that has come through Jaxville recently and can offer an opinion on going straight thru verses the 295 loop. We are in a full pickup with a 29 foot V nose TT in tow. Thanks a bunch, pixiesteno
PGHFiend 140
Hello there! We last came through in July, but the other 6 or so trips we have taken 95 through Jax. I will say the bridge section is / was under heavy construction and was exceedingly bumpy if doing traffic speed, but we never were slowed down by the construction. Good luck with your trip. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
We came through a week and a half ago at about 9:30 am on a Friday towing a 33' camper. It was busy but everything moved along just fine. No major slow downs or stoppages. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
keith_h 420
Were they still working on the area just south of the river where bridge and merge are? It was under construction last time we went through and very rough so I would prefer to take I295, even though it is longer, if I95 is still under construction there. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
There is still some work going on but it wasn't causing any major headaches. And we didn't think it was anywhere near as rough as we remember it being last year. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
We went straight through Jax too with no problem 10 days ago.
parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
We went straight through as well, but I think I may take 295 on the way home. I have always hated going through Jax, too many twists and turns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
North7... Jeff 2
We've taken the 295 East route the last 3 trips and have not encountered any issues. According to Google Maps, it is the shortest and quickest route. Others that travel this route more frequently may have encountered issues that we've been lucky enough to avoid during our limited use.
