Disneyland guests were guided to a new FastPass queue to test out cards that read when they were allowed to ride the Space Mountain attraction in Tomorrowland. The test system was being employed Monday with what appears to be MagicBand/FastPass+ technology. BradyBzLyn...Mo
Specularius 102
So this test is using an optical reader scanning a bar code, not NFC like the system at Disney World.

I thought it was just redid embedded cards like WDW"s hard tickets.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Wow, that's strange. I spent most of the day in Disneyland on Monday. We didn't visit Space Mountain, as we hit that up on Sunday, and it's currently the Ghost Galaxy layover (which is quite odd). There were no announcements in the park about this experiment. They were messing with all the other FP lines, though. Every FP attraction we went on, the CM's were putting regular guests into the FP queue to keep them full when there were gaps in FP returns. That meant that if you showed up with a FP, you would never find the FP queue empty and be able to walk on the ride. I didn't like that at all. TCD
