Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Here's something cool- the Disney Parks Blog just posted an article which includes a video tour of the TCD VIP Cabin, #118: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2016/07/room-with-a-view-the-cabins-at-disneys-fort-wilderness-resort/ Room With A View: The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort by Allison Montgomery, Editorial Content Coordinator, Walt Disney World Resort While I was growing up, summertime with my family always involved an awesome camping trip complete with yummy barbeque meals, nature walks, and of course, a nightly campfire to tell stories and share s’mores! So this summer, what better way to relive and recreate those camping memories than by staying in one of the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort? Fort Wilderness is nestled among 750 acres of pine and cypress forest right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort with woodland trails, hearty home-style eatery options, exciting activities and entertainment, and these private cabins are a great for those who want to ‘rough it’ in comfort. I visited Wilderness Cabin 118, just steps away from the Settlement area. The cabin is tucked away in the resort’s #100 loop, which is made up mostly of campsites, except for two cabins. What a unique spot that’s perfect for being close to so many of the recreation activities like horseback riding, or dining such as Trail’s End Restaurant! Each cabin sleeps up to six guests and has a living room, bedroom, full bathroom, modern kitchen, private patio, (with wooden rocking chairs!) and a charcoal grill. There’s rustic charm everywhere you look–with nods to wildlife on the lampshades and nature-inspired patterns on the curtains–and you can enjoy the best of the great outdoors, but with all the comforts of home. _________________________ They made a huge boo-boo there telling people that every cabin comes with rocking chairs. Only the two VIP cabins on the 100 loop come with rocking chairs. TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo
Travisma 1,317
And I guess private is in the eye of the beholder. Some of those decks have a wonderful view of the bus stops.

And that is what they have always been rated for. The current cabins have been on-site for over 15 years now- the remodeling is only cosmetic, the interior layout is the same, with a living area (which used to have a Murphy bed, but now has a queen sleeper sofa), bathroom and bedroom (with bunk beds and a queen bed). The new cabins provide two queen size beds- prior to remodeling it was two full beds. The bunk beds haven't changed. TCD

shoreline99 137
So, we're going again in February and have a cabin booked - can anyone confirm that the cabins in all the loops have been renovated now?
Mich1073 5
Yes they have all been completed since around September if I remember correctly.
shoreline99 137
Cool, when we were there last January there were still a few loops yet to be done, including the 2500 loop we stayed in.
