Seals 111
Easter 1974, camping trip to the Fort. I was 11. I think my brothers and I probably nagged my parents from Oct. 1, 1971 until then.
CJHokie 43
Oct. 1 is a good day. Turns out Virginia Tech also opened Oct. 1, but 99 years earlier, 1872.
Travisma 1,317
November 77, wife an I drove down from NY, went all around the state, camped at the Fort and visited the MK. That's when we rode the FWRR, did the Marshmallow Marsh excursion, and rode in the front of the Monorail. Have pictures from the Skyride looking down at the walkway between Peter Pan and Small World, and can count the # of people on 2 hands.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Disney Parks Blog posted this today... #TBT: Watch Epcot’s Iconic Spaceship Earth Being Builtposted on October 1st, 2015 by Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager As we shared earlier, today is Magic Kingdom Park’s anniversary. But it’s also the anniversary of the second Disney theme park built in Florida – Epcot! The park was the brainchild of Walt Disney himself, who dreamed about building a place where the possibilities of the future could be explored and enjoyed. Walt’s dream eventually evolved into the park that became EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow), which was fronted by the park’s iconic attraction, Spaceship Earth. We shared this rare time-lapse video of Spaceship Earth being built with Disney Parks Blog readers back in 2012, and are happy to share it again today in honor of the park’s anniversary.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAsQSok1SfA http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/10/tbt-watch-epcots-iconic-spaceship-earth-being-built/
Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
They had everyone say a cheer for rope drop at Epcot yesterday. Other than that nothing else went on. The park itself was really dead. I am certain World Showcase picked up later on. Most rides were walk on except for TT and S. They were 45min. Hot day however.
