Not too long ago, we added a little more tropical magic to The Lava Shack in the Waikolohe Valley: the Pineapple Soft Serve! If you have been to the Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, you have probably tasted this popular frozen treat. And at Aulani, it’s self-serve. If you have a GFS nearby, they have bags of Pineapple soft serve mix. Mix it, toss it in an ice cream freezer, and pretend you're at the Poly! We've purchased the vanilla mix from GFS and it's good. I think they were calling it Pineapple Soft Serve in Epcot for this past Flower and Garden Festival. But they still call it Dole Whip at the MK and at the Polynesian. keith_h 420 Posted October 1, 2015 Report Share Posted October 1, 2015 I'm guessing the difference in names has to do with the Dole sponsorship contract and Dole's name trademark. Most likely the sponsorship only applies to the MK so Disney would be restricted from using the Dole name outside of it. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
