BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
With thanks to Jason for the heads up... Jedi Training Academy to close to reopen later this year as 'Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple' 4 hours ago The hugely popular Jedi Training Academy at Disney's Hollywood Studios will have its final shows on October 4 2015. The attraction will reopen later in the year as 'Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple,' and will feature an all new set and new characters. It is expected that the show will continue to be on the stage next to Star Tours. A new villain from the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels will be part of the show. Like the current Jedi Training Academy, children will continue to be able to participate in the show with lightsaber training. Jedi Training Academy became a permanent addition at the then Disney-MGM Studios back in the fall of 2007 after a successfully test period in a temporary location. http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/jedi-training-academy/news/25sep2015-jedi-training-academy-to-close-to-reopen-later-this-year-as-jedi-training---trials-of-the-temple.htm
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Hmmm. The Disney Parks Blog announced yesterday that a bunch of Disneyland's Star Wars stuff will launch on November 16 http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/09/details-on-season-of-the-force-coming-november-16-to-disneyland-park-in-california/ Their new Jedi Training Academy will be ready to go then. The blog says details for DHS will be coming soon. I have to wonder if DHS's stuff will launch later that Disneyland's. Otherwise, why not announce them both at the same time? Season of the Force, a new seasonal event beginning early 2016, brings new experiences to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. In Tomorrowland at Disneyland park, guests will explore the Star Wars galaxy with special entertainment throughout the land, themed food locations and more. Guests also will also climb aboard Hyperspace Mountain, a reimagining of the classic Space Mountain attraction, in which guests will join an X-wing Starfighter battle. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will close out weekend nights with a new fireworks spectacular set to the iconic score of the Star Wars movies. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/08/star-wars-enhancements-new-experiences-coming-soon-to-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-resorts/ BradyBzLyn...Mo

The best I can figure is that the Launch Bay is just part of what they will roll out for Seasons of the Force. I can't imagine them doing Star Wars fireworks in December. They have to shut down Streets of American and the area around TSMM for the fireworks. They can't be doing that while the Osborne Lights are having their last hurrah.
