ECKusch 2
Good Afternoon all, I managed to find a "preferred campsite" for the second weekend of Halloween. I'm sure this question has been asked before, and potentially by me; Is tent camping okay on preferred sites, or are they typically used for RV's? Any input is welcomed. weekender 5
I have seen many people on preferred sites tent camping. Just remember that the pad will be all concrete instead of having the back area with the sand.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
We usually book preferred and have seen everything in there from tents to mega-MHs. We can easily fit our 9 x 12 dog pen completely on the sand pad portion with plenty of room to spare. If you haven't already, take a peek at either the Fort Fiends mobile app or the videos we've got and you can see roughly what the pavement to sand ratio is. twiceblessed....nacole 433
We've stayed in the Preferred with a tent no problem... bummer to pay more for that grade of site (with only a tent) but, sometimes you gotta do, whatcha gotta do! Have fun!!
