jrbdad 3
We are trying to decide on renting a cart for spring break 2016. Only concern is going somewhere and not having parking. Is that a valid concern? Thanks
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
There is golf cart parking anywhere you are allowed to leave your cart- at the Outpost, at the Settlement, at the Trading Posts and at the pools. I've been to the Fort at its busiest times when it is packed full- and there are always places to park. Not a concern at all. TCD
Travisma 1,317
There is parking at the outpost, settlement and campfire program/meadow pool area. If the lots fill up they will direct you someplace nearby to park
jrbdad 3
My concern is all parking spaces being full..
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
My concern is all parking spaces being full.. There are plenty of parking spaces. And there are always places to squeeze in. It is nothing to worry about. TCD
caveat lector 181
Get the cart. No worries
jrbdad 3
Thank you. That will make me feel better about spending the money. Now just need to decide who to get cart from
jrbdad 3
Another question, what about when it rains? Say park cart at outpost, rains when your gone. What does everyone do for that? Leave towel on cart? Can you get carts with rain covers?

What does everyone do for that? Leave towel on cart? Can you get carts with rain covers? Yes- a small towel in the cart is all you need to wipe down the seats after a rain. Kenny used to have rain covers on his carts, but I don't think he does anymore. The Fort carts don't have rain covers. It's not really necessary. TCD
Command Module...AKA-Brian 8
I just keep a chamois cloth with me, I put it in the glove box area in the dash, it's the same one I use to wipe my bunks on our hybrid trailer before we pack it up. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I guess I'll come clean and admit that I have an actual ShamWowTM (remember those?). That I use for this purpose. I'm not sure it will soak up a 2 liter bottle of soda from a shag carpet, but it works fine to get the water off wet golf cart seats. TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Kenny used to have rain covers on his carts, but I don't think he does anymore. He hasn't the last 2 times we've rented from him (most recently in May). We keep an old beach towel stashed in the cart in case we come back to wet seats.

Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
We never used our cover last Christmas. Yes we got some rain, but we either stay "home" or endured it. I seem to recall Gwen has the good kind of cover. We have the cheap one....harder to use.

If it's cold, I just remember those long Florida summers. TCD
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Wimps. Yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather. When David and I went out to breakfast this morning it was 68 here. I wore a wrap and turned the seat heater on in the car.
