BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
The Disney Food Blog has a review of lunch at The Diamond Horseshoe, located in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. I don't think this has ever been open when we were there. Has anyone eaten here? http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/08/16/review-lunch-at-the-diamond-horseshoe-in-magic-kingdoms-frontierland-2/ Excerpts... Diamond Horseshoe Lunch Menu – click image to enlarge There is a Barbecued Chicken Sandwich (as opposed to the previous turkey); and the Turkey Sandwich also got a makeover, now sliced and topped with Swiss and served on multigrain bread. The Mixed Greens Salad was replaced with a Chef Salad, but the desserts (your standard Chocolate or Carrot Cake) and Root Beer and Strawberry Lemonade Slushes are all holding steady. CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
We've eaten there, but it's been 30+ years. They had a cute saloon-style show.

They had a cute saloon-style show. That was one of the places you had to go to as soon as the park opened to get either a reservation or a ticket (can't remember which) for the show. It was sponsored by Frito Lay. It was a smaller free version of the Hoop De Do.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
And wasn't it called the Diamond Horseshoe Revue then? http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRVEexmsvA0
Travisma 1,317
And wasn't it called the Diamond Horseshoe Revue then?Pretty sure it was. My wife and I went to it on our first MK trip in 77. We were able to go 1 more time when we had 1 or 2 of our daughters. By the time we got back years later it was gone... Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie 119
Good memories of what once was. I remember it as a young child, and your right, it was the first stop of the day to make reservations. It was one of my favorite places to eat. There and Pecos Bills because of the talking Country Bear heads.
stryke-force 51
I remember running with my dad first thing in the morning to go and get reservations. Here's one of my brothers and I...seemed to always get called up on stage.
keith_h 420
I've never been to the MK's Horseshoe but have been to the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland. I suspect they are very similar. At Disneyland's it was one of those places that if you didn't have reservations you didn't get in as it was always busy.

dblr....Rennie 224
If the park is real busy and it's open we have never seen it real crowded as most people don't think to eat there as much as other places because it is HARDLY ever open, we have ate there and for a quick lunch and a/c it is not bad. shoreline99 137
We ate there in April, it was just OK. It was obviously not open all the time as the cast members all seemed not to really know what was going on. Had the salad.
