The news was followed by a surprise visit from Johnny Depp, who showed up on stage in character as Captain Jack Sparrow and threw grapes at the crowd. In “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” Captain Jack Sparrow finds himself in quite a precarious spot when ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him (and most likely the handsome captain of the Flying Dutchman). D23 Expo 2015: Orlando Bloom to reprise Will Turner for “Pirates 5,” Johnny Depp appears on stage as Jack Sparrow – againPosted on August 15, 2015by Corinne Andersson Today at the D23 Expo 2015 Walt Disney Studios panel it was announced that Orlando Bloom will reprise his role as the swashbuckling Will Turner for the fifth installment Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Dead Men Tell No Tales. Orlando Bloom hasn’t been seen in a Pirates movie since 2007’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Johnny Depp appeared as Captain Jack Sparrow – a reprise of his own, having done the same stunt at the first D23 Expo in 2009. Geoffrey Rush will also return as Captain Barbossa himself. Javier Bardem was also announced to play the role of Captain Salazar.
