Check out this pretty spiffy conversion of a cargo van to a camper...

It's a super small space, but he did get pretty much everything one person would need in there.

My wife and I converted a new 76 or 77 (memory fades) Ford Econoline into a camper when we were still up in NY.

That was when Van Shows with thousands of customized vans were real big and you could find a ton of accessories.

We didn't do nearly as much as this guy did.

We paneled and covered the walls with button tufted black vinyl with foam under it and insulated the walls.  Covered the ceiling with a blue material, carpeted the floor, had a big sunroof in the front area and a roof vent in the back.

We made couch with storage under it that pulled out into a bed, had a pole mounted table, curtains for privacy, a place for a huge steel clad Coleman ice chest and Coleman camping stove.

We took a two week road trip to FL in the fall of 77, went all around the state, camped at the Fort, got a job offer in Tampa, and moved down in February of 78.

The van is long gone, but the memories linger on.

I'm guessing it's pretty heavy, but because when folded, it's basically inside the space of the original truck box, it might not be all that hard to drive.

Although there's one part of the video where it looks like it's possibly been parked in the same location for a while.
