BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Here's a fun new rumor I haven't seen before (bolded in purple below)! Magic Kingdom Update: Major Pirates Rehab Continues Tuesday, July 14, 2015 | Posted by OTPN Administrator The Magic Kingdom Park continues to be under the spotlight in the theme park community, thanks the multiple major projects taking place around the park and the interesting rumors that point to a possible major expansion of Frontierland (very little information is available at this time, so we will wait a little more before adding more information about these rumors). While we are waiting for official announcements, let's take a look around the park to see what is new: Link for lots of photos and full article...http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/2015/07/magic-kingdom-update-major-pirates.html
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I am not buying this at all. There are other parks in desperate need of new attractions, and attendance at the MK is at all-time highs. There's no good reason for them to spend a bunch of money to expand Frontierland. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Agreed. The paint is still barely dry on New Fantasyland and MK is the last park that needs a shot in the arm in the attendance dept. I'll be curious to see if/how this rumor develops. LONE-STAR 370
I like the idea and it would add capacity which they need.
rtguy007 74
Someone posted a comment in that link about cancelling their trip because there are to many closures. I am starting to feel that way. Why on earth would they tear up so many things at one time to make changes?
FEARtheEERS 18
Maybe they are working to fix some of the crowd control issues and this is part of that? I am really appreciative when I can take that alternate exit late at night with my big fat stroller and don't have to run over all of the people on Main Street. Little fixes such as this make maintaining those numbers possible. Otherwise the problems will only get worse I believe.

As they say in Maine... ayuh! It would be good if they could do something to improve traffic flow though. That area clogs up really badly around parade/park close time. That's the one thing about the hub project that I think works really well - it spreads people out so that they're not all funneling though a couple of jammed pathways. And it looks pretty too. :)

That's the truth. I would rather see them spend money adding attractions to the other parks so people will go there. TCD
shoreline99 137
IMHO, It seems pretty likely. My guess is that it's all part of a big push towards the 50th anniversary.
