BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
From the Disney Parks Blog, a preview of the new menu items being added at the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We've eaten here a few times and loved it. Seating is first come, first served (which can be a bit of a headache when) and service can be a little wonky, as it seems sometimes they've got servers covering inside and outside tables, but the food has always been terrific. The charcuterie board here is probably the best we've had at WDW, and we've tried them at a bunch of places. One big downside this time of year... while there are umbrellas, this isn't a great option on a really hot day if you're the "melty" type like me. :) First Look: New Menu Items at The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studiosposted on June 25th, 2015 by Rachel Brent, Food & Beverage Marketing Communications Coordinator There’s no better place in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see and be seen than The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. Especially with the addition of small plates and beverages with the newly renovated outdoor bar. New small plates include grilled Bloody Mary-marinated shrimp and chorizo and heirloom tomatoes on toasted ciabatta with garlic herb butter and a new seasonal soup — Zellwood Corn Bisque, served with a corn and lobster fritter and Ancho chili oil. Or share the Crispy Bites, featuring parmesan and goat cheese risotto sticks with a peach-habanero chili sauce, Brie with a sweet onion and orange jam, and affiné blue and mushroom arancini with a fig and balsamic dip. These new tastes join favorites like The Famous Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad, Derby Sliders, and Artisanal Cheeses and Charcuterie Board. New additions to the drink menu include a Mint Julep made with premium reserve bourbon; the new Bloody Mary turns up the heat with pepper-infused vodka and a garnish of olives, spicy pickles, and pickled green beans; a Champagne Cocktail with sweet and floral elderflower liqueur and Fairytale by Iron Horse Celebration Cuvee (exclusive to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts); Sangria; and, my favorite, the Grapefruit Cake Martini — a delicious twist on the classic dessert. Stop by The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of Hollywood and leave feeling like a star! http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/06/first-look-new-menu-items-at-the-hollywood-brown-derby-lounge-at-disneys-hollywood-studios/
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Looking forward to eating there on my birthday. I wonder if I can order the new charcuterie plate off the regular inside menu.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
There is something called "Artisanal Cheeses" on the regular lunch/dinner menu, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing, although I'd imagine it's at least similar. Can't hurt to ask!
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Disney Food Blog has posted a new review of the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge...http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/07/19/review-the-hollywood-brown-derby-lounge/ Some excerpts... One of the great things about the outdoor Lounge is that you can enjoy some of the famous Brown Derby dishes — such as the appetizer-sized portion of The Famous Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad — without stepping inside to have a full meal. The Famous Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad Brown Derby Citizens Take Flight Margarita Flight The Summer Sangria is white wine, gin, peach schnapps, white cranberry juice and apple juice topped off with fresh fruit.Summer Sangria Grapefruit Cake at Hollywood Brown Derby Bloody MaryFirst up was the Corn Bisque with corn and lobster fritters. Finally, the Blue-Mushroom Arancini (rice balls) are given a Fig and Balsamic dip.Crispy Bites and accompanying sauces Shrimp and Chorizo Bruschetta
shoreline99 137
We just ate there. Crispy snacks are amazing, basically three different fried cheeses with dipping sauces. I can't say enough good things about the sliders and, of course, the Cobb salad. Drinks are top shelf as well. Highly recommended. BradyBzLyn...Mo
