I don't think it's faster but it's a LOT less stressful. True. If you go thru at night, just duck when you hear gunshots! :o The stretch between 275 and 56th street can be dicey at times. No problems with the road or traffic, except Houston traffic early in the morning of day two. I forgot to mention that the posted speed limit for most of west Texas is 80 mph. Even then, the ride is long. TCDI guess I need to pay better attention to dates. TX is a very long ride. Just the 3 hours from the state line to home just seems to take forever.
