weekender 5
We have some friends that will be travelling to/from the Florida Keys with their 5th wheel later this summer and want to stop for an overnight off the Turnpike around the Orlando area. I know their is The Fort, but are there any other good campgrounds close to the turnpike that will not cost them a fortune? They will be tired and will not be doing much other than plugging in, having dinner and getting some sleep. My sister recommended the KOA in Kissimmee. Any other recommendations is greatly appreciated.
jmaul 65
Turkey Lake http://www.cityoforlando.net/parks/bill-frederick-park-turkey-lake/ I have not been, but others here have and nothing but good reviews. Another Fiend in the past did a write-up of Lake Louisa. I forget who it was, sorry, and that's a bit away from the Turnpike.
ependydad...Doug 176
I'd hit up Turkey Lake. I haven't been, but like jmaul- I've heard good things about it and wouldn't hesitate to stop there.
Grumpy and Grandma 740
If they are using I-75 the KOA at Wildwood, it has new owners and is really a nice overnight stop.
