Count me in!

In!!

We planned Narcoossee's around 8pm so that we would still be at our table when dinner came. I asked Jason how to guarantee a window view and he said that with Disney, there are no guarantees, but if you arrive early- you can make a request. So we got to the restaurant about 40 minutes ahead of our reservation (mostly because we were tired and hot). It worked out and this was our view:

Table selfies are hard:

I don't think I have his picture, but our server was wonderful. Helpful with questions and johnny-on-the-spot when we needed something (somehow without being in your face and burdensome). Mandie asked for a drink recommendation, described that she didn't like alcohol and likes fruity-sweet drinks. He brought her something and she really liked it. Plus, it had a glow ice cube- they're always fun.

18131385106_f0f58bc2c6_z.jpg

It was definitely quieter than other places, but the openness still made it a little noisy:

The water parade went by:

17959097548_1092880122_z.jpg

I went on a flight of wines:

18146740115_c664c55875_z.jpg

They were all *very* sweet, but generally speaking- I am not crazy about wine and prefer super sweet. It worked for me and I enjoyed them.

The wine list:

A little bit later, my salad showed up:

17970408258_780db92425_z.jpg

And her lobster bisque:

17537532333_b090599561_z.jpg

We had warned our server that we were in for a long leisurely dinner. I ended up adding a bunch more on the tip because we literally stayed there for the length of time for a meal and a half or more. Like, we didn't order the next course until we were all but done with the first one.

I think I got a salmon (clearly, it's some kind of fish):

18153632962_ce878877d3_z.jpg

The lobster mac & cheese is one that we would not get again. It was good, but not "wow":

17535109353_f1442f65a8_z.jpg

The loaded mashed potatoes however were out-of-this-world!

17524317504_ec2ebd31e4_z.jpg

As you walk to your table, you pass some food prep stuff. She saw a plate with a lobster tail and it tickled her fancy. She's literally never had lobster tail before. They offer to cook the lobster 2 different ways. We didn't know which, so she described what she would like and the server picked (something about butter cooked). She LOVED it. And again- when we go back, it's what she's going for.

In addition to that, she likes a well done steak. Like no pink well done. If you recall, we had a mess at the Yachtsman Steakhouse with a way undercooked steak. This one, however, was perfect- just what she wanted; well done, still juicy.

18143180392_978d9cc7ff_z.jpg

The lobster tail:

17523845434_4496d1f626_z.jpg

And then Wishes started. What I worried about, and did happen, was that people would stand on the balcony mostly blocking your view. The people outside were oblivious. We were annoyed a little, but we had seen Wishes from so many different angles- we were OK. The lady 3 or 4 tables down from us took to tapping her ring on the window to get people's attention and making them move. Her kids were so embarrassed. We laughed.

17536519453_6157bd7c2d_z.jpg

We ordered desserts and they added the "happy anniversary" placards. I had some kind of strawberry shortcake:

18156844921_c544a0841a_z.jpg

She had some kind of creme brulee:

17959192570_9296a6e8b2_z.jpg

The restaurant literally scored a 10 out of 10. I asked for the manager and complimented our waiter and the food. It literally was the best Disney food experience I've ever had.

Wrapping up our night, we took the monorail back to the Contemporary where I learned that they have windows:

18147789541_9d6d228531_z.jpg

18119928546_57476f6e2a_z.jpg

We walked around the Contemporary a little and saw this bird by one of the pools/lake:

17970527300_bc848f99eb_z.jpg

Mandie went back to the room and I went down to the parking lot to take a picture of our room. Without her flashlight on herself, you could barely make her out. With the flashlight, I was able to see where she was.

Tomorrow we headed to Epcot and tried more new foods. :)

I guess Narcoossee's is on the list for us in November. If an entree has potatoes on it Rene is bound to order. Seeing those loaded mashed potatoes should definitely earn me a few points.

I didn't know the Monorail had windows either. If I had I would have opened one to get some fresh air when we were there last October.

Glad you had a nice time!  Can't blame the people outside however.... I do understand that mom's frustration because I'm sure the meal was not cheap and people may have picked the restaurant because of the location and the chance to see fireworks while you're eating.  I guess you could have left your table and walked outside for a better view but, we don't usually eat expensive meals so... I guess I'm just saying that I get it.  They may not eat nice/expensive meals often and (unlike so many of us Fiends) they may not have had the chance once... twice... okay thirty times to see the fireworks.  This may have been their once-in-a-lifetime trip.    Anyway... all that to say, glad you two had a great time!! :)

It's definitely worth a visit. In fact, we go back this Friday once my mother-in-law comes to visit.

And, yeah- who knew about the windows? I happened to notice one open. I opened one the other day just to see if they were locked and only allowed to be open at certain times, of if they always worked.

A restaurant that has windows facing the MK should not have balconies outside where people can block your view.  That's part of the allure of the MK facing restaurants.

Or, at least give me a ceiling mounted water gun and a joystick for my table.

That food looks great!

Glad you enjoyed Narcoosee's!! I agree with you, hands down so far the best food, service, and VALUE of any meal I've ever had at Disney. The most expensive meal I've ever had there, but the best bang for my buck!!!

I'm not positive that I can talk about VALUE and that meal, but it was so good that it was worth it! :)

Jumping right in...

We're now off to Epcotland. From the Monorail, you can see the aftermath of the flower displays:

18156837201_f7e621a890_z.jpg

First up was Soarin'. I've read others complaints about FP+ and generally don't share many of them. But finding long lines to even get into attractions has been a common theme for us. Here, you can sort of see how far back we are to even scan to get into the FP line:

18120374656_b6af21b361_z.jpg

As expected for this TR, we took a selfie in the queue:

17526063373_0593c19b6f_z.jpg

Today we were bounding as Belle and Gaston. She had a pretty elaborate gettup going on. The rose:

18158217825_2b3c9c31c3_z.jpg

Earrings:

17970137188_7956642468_z.jpg

Fancy bow:

18157607491_e2c591c02a_z.jpg

I, as always, paled in comparison. Red shirt + tan shorts; the end. :)

Selfie before the ride started:

17967980210_34dbe805e0_z.jpg

(This was one of the first times that I heard a CM giving people grief about having cameras out during the ride. Which is funny because I've been guilty of that in the past- but not this time.)

My wife's real attraction to this building is the Coconut Macaroons. She LOVES them.

17960607439_4963e5d7dd_z.jpg

I tried some very disappoint peanut butter cake:

18120131226_2fe8a3ab6a_z.jpg

It legitimately rains every time we go to Epcot. (But then again- it's Florida and rains every day. Maybe it's not a conspiracy):

17535613434_e21a52c22c_z.jpg

Someone is excited to see Nemo!

17971781979_5ea184fd8c_z.jpg

Jellyfishes:

17533449854_b9419b7e61_z.jpg

The more that I see this scene, the more I enjoy it. The mixture of hard-props and projections is neat to me. Disney does it many other places, but it's one of the things that still holds a little Disney Magic for me.

17524204004_14965ffb58_z.jpg

The EAC duuuuudde:

18146349665_15d0f6a581_z.jpg

I didn't expect to see any relatives:

17971714529_284c576b86_z.jpg

Here we're talking with Crush:

18120510196_4afff12382_z.jpg

And then it was lunch time!

18147898681_145e8a1c7e_z.jpg

She's so yummy, yummy:

17958863030_84a49a5347_z.jpg

Last year, I read about someone making Lemoncello. I had never had it, but lemon + liquor seemed like a great combination. As every good parent, I had my daughter help me make it. We "zested" 15 lemons, mixed it with Everclear, set it aside for 2 months, made sugar syrup, and then bottled it together around Valentines Day 2014. It was good, but turned out a little hotter than I expected. I wasn't 100% positive what Lemoncello was really supposed to taste like, so I tried it while at Via Napoli. Mine was remarkably close, but still definitely warmer going down than this commercial stuff.

18119833336_c3050ac509_z.jpg

She tried the Arancini ("fried risotto balls filled with mozzarella & meat ragu"):

17970276288_1cc41548ab_z.jpg

I got the Mozzarella Caprese:

17537322513_a325261e76_z.jpg

(Look how NOT deep red that tomato was; I've gotten better from the grocery store. :( )

Random Magic Band decoration picture:

17968328470_f054352ea6_z.jpg

And then our pizzas came. First hers, with ham:

18143244562_d6f68be2ee_z.jpg

And then mine, with tomato, mushroom, and pepperoni:

17526003013_23ec04a6b7_z.jpg

They *looked* amazing. Unfortunately, they were just "OK" at best. I'd put them on par or even slightly lower than the Bertucci's chain restaurant. I'm a bit of a brick oven pizza connoisseur (aka pizza snob), if you can't tell. Nothing comes close to Mancini's Brick Oven Pizzeria in Fenwick Island, DE. If you're ever in Ocean City, MD or the surrounding area- make the trip. Rennie, you should go there... now.

Another yummy photo:

18146342595_473c89dbd8_z.jpg

We left there, and you can start to see what humidity does to my hair:

18158131245_4b3ecec783_z.jpg

I'm not sure that I have ever seen the train display before (or I have and forgot). Unfortunately, the trains were taking a break.

17971661049_bdb20dbb3c_z.jpg

We kept walking and my wife wanted to hit another "eat around the World" list. She picked up a few things from here:

17969827629_9010a362eb_z.jpg

Much like Santa, she was checking her list:

18148077221_179e7769b1_z.jpg

It's a good thing, because there were many choices!

17959038690_ab9c629b4e_z.jpg

I failed on the actual photo- she got some kind of salted caramel + chocolate thing.

Since it is early and I like this photo, I'm going to keep on going.

17960250809_fcb5df07c0_z.jpg

And, since it didn't really happen unless there were pics:

17972080989_4f0451144f_z.jpg

I now take photos simply for the "Where in the world?" thread:

18156045475_d07edafbc3_z.jpg

Do you know where we are now?

17959046658_24e5cc6b04_z.jpg

I will admit, I was a little surprised to see an Ayn Rand quote at Disney World:

17526129323_f9a0ba3499_z.jpg

Honestly, we had never spent a whole lot of time in Epcot's World Showcase. So lately, we have been trying to. So now, first up- 'MURICA F-YEAH!

17525877603_640c93303d_z.jpg

In this attraction, Disney has you go up escalators, walk across a room, and then go down a long ramp. I honestly don't understand. Oh well, I had such a cutie for company:

18158274045_2d706424b1_z.jpg

Once we got out of there, we walked some more and found a fountain. I snuck in a kiss:

17534565524_ab9553e15e_z.jpg

We stopped for a break and ended up watching a squirrel. I brazenly ran between tables and chairs right into the opening of a doorway. At which point he came to its senses and realized he was running into a room full of people. The only possible solution was to go into invisible mode and flatten* himself to the floor.... sorta.

18157514411_2981569a75_z.jpg

The ducks did not appreciate the squirrel's boldness of infringing on their territory. It was a Disney-style Sharks vs. Jets.

18148012291_0edf6bae17_z.jpg

Fortunately/unfortunately, France was next.

18146685255_8fabffd452_z.jpg

I wanted to stop here because of TCD and his report (I think that's who gets credit, maybe it was just a random thread). For her, it was yet another "Eat Around the World" food stop.

17958553148_f13c3fb1c2_z.jpg

17970363518_a6d65ed966_z.jpg

18154557972_5186fc541d_z.jpg

Her list specifically called out the meringue. The one she got was HUGE. Very easily close to 1 1/2 to 2 times the size of her fists (which I know well :( ).

17970521279_067c805a3d_z.jpg

To me, it looked dry, crumbly, crunchy, and bleh. To her, it was reportedly fantastic. So much so, she just got another the other day- but it wasn't quite as big this time. Yes, she actually commented to me about the size. Who says it doesn't matter?

I got a fruit tart.

18152846982_bddb372ac9_z.jpg

And we kept on walking:

17526289653_6b9f2b2e21_z.jpg

My daughter is a huge Duffy fan. We noticed that the pressed-penny machines have country-specific Duffy coins. I sent this to her to tease her:

18120178306_b3f3880224_z.jpg

We have friends who are Dr. Whovians (is that the right word?). England had an appropriate amount of Dr. Who stuff and they even had a few guests discussing the merits of "the real Dr. Who" vs. "that new pretty Dr. Who". It was a classic nerd discussion. I wish I had taken their picture.

17958729030_9a7f004f21_z.jpg

The original photo booth:

18131754436_ffff14655c_z.jpg

I tried to pretend I was Superman and quickly change clothes. But she said no way:

18131543136_9c79140dc7_z.jpg

I offered to buy my daughter lip balm from Canada:

18129997206_8a51f470cb_z.jpg

The Canadian gardens are very pretty:

18157520881_a709ff7c8a_z.jpg

Oh Canada... why you use Martin Short?

17526264703_c6b641ce5f_z.jpg

I did like their countdown/timer:

17526051753_1b22160389_z.jpg

I did not like that I had to stand for the show. Don't they know that I'm after 2 things with these World Showcase attractions? 1) Air Conditioning. 2) Some time off of my feet. The fact that I learn a little about your country is just a side effect.

Next up on the "eat around the world" list, a croissant donut:

17970296130_f8b186e94b_z.jpg

Who knew that bench theft was an issue?

17968749630_2775b11616_z.jpg

We got in line for Duffy but apparently wear bear repellent as he had to "go inside for some cookies" and ain't nobody got time for that. Yet another text to my daughter showing her how much fun we were having:

17535809333_b9167607c7_z.jpg

My wife played in the fountains. She had to kick some kids out of the way, but she wet her shoes to stretch the straps or something. I think she just wanted to kick some kids in their big fat heads.

17960579869_3ab8b9767f_z.jpg

And then I did something that I never did before; nor will I ever again. I tried this "Beverly" drink and decided that Italy should fall into the sea.

18143086642_4c1570f446_z.jpg

In fact, she recorded it for prosperity:

We still have some more Epcot in us. But 60 photos of us over and over again is enough for anyone.

Let's try to wrap this one up. We're still in Epcot, but winding down. After this, we had a partial day at Magic Kingdom and then it was time to head home. I still need to do my review of the Contemporary. I'll make sure to get to that.

But first, at Epcot, we went to the Disney Visa meet and greet:

18154482562_d3a0415339_z.jpg

And then road the ride in the big ball:

17970162319_d599f7791d_z.jpg

We did our selfie-thing out in front of it:

17535578414_0e3be317d6_z.jpg

Here's my official Memorial Day photo:

17970201090_21d6a80841_z.jpg

And then it was time for a Monorail ride back to the hotel:

17959102908_1a6788488a_z.jpg

Again, I'm just so blessed to have this beautiful woman:

17526180223_0a7c22c4c1_z.jpg

Dinner was room service + my wife ran down to the Contempo Cafe for a salad and flatbread. Room service took less time! BUT- these were not the same fries that we got at lunch. In fact, the lunch-time fries were almost the whole reason for paying for room service. My wife called and complained. A few minutes later a Chef called our room and my wife explained these "amazing" (her words) fries and the chef explained that the fries at lunch were shared by one of the restaurants. The chef offered to "whip up a batch" special for us and that's what she did. She sent what really worked out to be 2 to 3 times the amount of fries that comes with a usual order. But, alas- no pictures of these amazing fries. They were basically potato slices (think like the shape and thickness of a pickle slice) with seasoning and chunks of rock salt. I'll admit, they were quite yummy.

Here are the disappointing fries and partially eaten burger (which was quite good):

17537565743_97acf6aaff_z.jpg

Our final day was more selfies- we took one in either direction and some kissy ones. But you've seen enough of that to last you for quite a long time. :) Here's just one with the Polynesian in the background:

18152891712_fb3324f385_z.jpg

We hopped onto the monorail and enjoyed our last trip past the hotels. Before too long, we were back in front of the train station:

17960257319_2cfb6b90d2_z.jpg

Our plan was to make our way back to Gaston's Tavern for a cinnamon roll. On our way...

17970420608_3e5110a9bc_z.jpg

Still walking...

18131638156_ca79e67a05_z.jpg

Here we are:

17535855103_8bf2633aba_z.jpg

The LeFou's Brew machines:

18143200092_ca9005562d_z.jpg

And, I previously shared this- but here's the cinnamon roll:

17535703804_17f848eb07_z.jpg

Here we are with Gaston's pic in the background:

17535522734_71d96c9488_z.jpg

And Gaston's statue:

17970946639_bf034c2c2f_z.jpg

To wrap up our day, we had a couple of FastPasses. First, It's a Small World. I legitimately dislike this ride and am painfully bored on it; but it's one of those Disney must-do-staples, so I ride it every time:

18119944546_c4c6c5537a_z.jpg

By now, it was Tuesday after Memorial Day and appears to be quite the slow day. This was just shy of 1pm:

18158241231_fa6d571757_z.jpg

Our next FP was for Haunted Mansion. Obligatory line selfie:

17958997728_e5bce56610_z.jpg

My pictures inside turned out pretty good. So, here they are:

18146667755_1c691109b7_z.jpg

(Blurry, but you can see the hidden Mickey at the table.)

Singing busts:

17970148248_f575a2ae98_z.jpg

My wife got one final Nutella + Fruit Waffle:

18120363986_969056ec89_z.jpg

Catching a few final signs to the different lands:

17960139509_39f8f0936c_z.jpg

17970319298_f575f1f951_z.jpg

PhotoPass Photographer took this of us at castle photo:

17968737290_6e9c41be63_z.jpg

And then we met the Mayor. I tried to do a selfie, but apparently was nervous and it was shaky.

18147944511_dbed003bda_z.jpg

The funny part to meeting the Mayor is that my wife's fiance was never much of a camper before he met her. They got a camper and he declared himself the Mayor of the river area of the campground. He's gone so far as to have t-shirts made up, and even added lettering to his beater of a truck saying "Mayor" at the window. My sister was NOT amused when I started looking for "Mayor" sashes after seeing the Main Street Mayor.

Anyway, moving along and heading out- fun photo of the various buttons:

18146622035_3ee303c540_z.jpg

We took 1 last train ride around the park to catch a sign:

17970095588_63cd57fb96_z.jpg

We couldn't find one for Fantastyland, sadly. I did a Google search to see if there were any, but I couldn't find one. Jerks.

And finally, back at the hotel- we found our car waiting for us:

18157587791_1d096c0b1b_z.jpg

The sedan costed about $70 each way which is right about what a taxi will cost you if you ever find yourself in a situation where you aren't taking Disney's Magical Express. This was a very nice treat. On the way TO Disney, we checked our luggage like normal and our driver helped get our bags. The walk from the baggage claim to his car was short and sweet (especially in contrast to the 10-mile walk from baggage to the Magical Express). In addition, we were able to make a quick pit stop at a grocery store to grab some staples (bottled water, snacks, etc.) that we usually do grocery delivery for. On the way home, we did the resort airline baggage check-in. Which meant, going back to the airport, we had nothing more than our carry on bags (my backpack and my CPAP sleep machine). It was so much less time doing the car than doing Disney's transportation. It was an added expense that was well worth it. Plus, Jason set it all up. :)

Our "sedan" turned out to be a large SUV:

Our selfie with our driver:

We grabbed a late lunch at Au Bon Pain at the airport which was remarkably good:

Again, just so, so, so cute:

Getting close to wrapping up, an airplane selfie:

And finally, a bus that made me wish for Disney's buses- the ride from the airport to the garage:

With that, we jumped in the car and headed home to 2 very awake and very excited kids and one very tired mother-in-law.

Before I wrap up, I'll share my thoughts on the Contemporary... longest story shortest, while the view was very neat and I'm glad to have stayed at the iconic hotel, I'm not positive that I would go back. In fact, the only reason that I would go back is because my son has an absolute fascination with the monorail and would be geeked-out-excited with staying at the hotel where it goes through.

First, the room snafu...

We got hit with Disney's (short-lived) crackdown on shortening stays. The only way to get a theme park view room was to book an extra couple of days and then trim it back. Because my wife is spastic and controlling, she stalked the site until the room showed up, we booked the reservation, and then transferred it to Jason. I don't fault Jason in any of this; to me- it was all Disney. When he went to make the change to shorten the stay, the system effed-up our reservation and it had to be rebooked. With the rebooking, they lost the "request" for a king bed instead of 2 queens.

The booking and rebooking caused confusion at the front desk. It didn't help that we had someone who appeared to be fairly new. All of that made for a very long front-desk experience.

We got our room assignment and headed up to find that it was a pair of queen beds. Clearly not the lovey anniversary experience we were after. As my wife called the front-desk, the bell hop showed up with our luggage.

She was excited about the first room. Apparently it was an odd number which meant that the bed faced Magic Kingdom and we'd be able to watch the fireworks from it. It was also at the end of the hotel closest to Magic Kingdom (and away from Chef Mickey's?). The second room, was an even number and dab smack in the middle- in fact, we were the room closest to the elevator. Which meant, we heard every child and family who clearly never learned of "hotel voices". Not that it matter, the door didn't block a whole lot of sound. Being late sleepers, we ended up putting pillows at the door to muffle it each night.

The room situation put a damper on the whole experience.

There's definitely some mis-messaging with regards to the king bed "request" vs "reservation"; more than one travel agent indicated that you make a specific reservation for a king room when you're at the moderate and above resorts (whereas, it's just a "request" at the value resorts). When we were put into the room with 2 queen beds and my wife called- the front desk agent, slightly huffily, explained to my wife that a king room was only a request and subject to availability. Had there not been a king room available, I would have quite huffily lost my snot.

Next, the room itself...

It was a very pretty room with a decent amount of space. However, the bathroom looks cool, but is terribly not functional. There were no shelves for putting things. We found that often times- our stuff was in one of the 2 sinks. There was nowhere convenient to hang a towel for the shower. And for the shower, I prefer getting into the rear of it so that I'm not stepping directly into the stream of water. And the big bulky sink blocked that. Like other Disney hotels, the toilet was behind a door. This door didn't lock (not a big deal with the 2 of us, but weird none-the-less). And the room it was in was fairly long with a bunch of dead/open space in front of you. I'm not looking to be cramped, it was like something was missing- maybe a table with some fake plants or decorations or something.

As far as we could tell, the room didn't have any hidden Mickeys. Contrast that to other hotels that we've stayed at (both Port Orleanses and Grand Floridian) and they had quite a few.

The sofa was pretty uncomfortable. And finally, the fridge was in a cabinet and awkward to get to. Again, I've stayed at others where it was in a cabinet- but this one was somehow differently bad.

The Quick Service food...

The Contempo Cafe was terrible. Well, the food was always good- but the service was incredibly slow. The first night that we got there, we ate fairly late. The cashier was responsible for people paying but were also supposed to go get the trays of completed food and deliver it to the tables. So it either meant that you stood in line for a long time, or your food got cold while waiting for the cashier. From our table, we watched a manager come scold one of the cashiers because she wasn't stopping to deliver food. But he (and we) watched the people in line get annoyed at the wait. IMO, instead of scolding her- he should have just started doing the food delivery. (Which he did in the end.)

Another experience on our second-to-last day, room service made it quicker than my wife could go down, get food, and come back up.

A word about the room service- no complaints. Quality and price was on par with what we've paid at other hotels and it was a really nice feature.

The Monorail...

This is just part of life with the Monorail only running in one direction. But, generally speaking- it was quicker to walk to Magic Kingdom than make the loop around through each hotel and the TTC. Coming back was nice and quick, though.

The good...

The balcony and the view. In my ignorance, I didn't know the lay of the land and thought a theme park view meant there would be water and then the theme park in the background. A theme park view meant that we'd first overlook a parking lot and then Magic Kingdom. That aside, it was still pretty neat to snuggle up there on the balcony and look out at WDW. The fireworks were a neat perspective.

And, that's all she wrote, folks.

Excellent work, Doug!

And you finished it!

I have a couple of questions;

1.  Do you know which restaurant in the Contemporary Resort serves the awesome fries that you so much enjoyed?

2.  Either there's a typo in this paragraph, or something odd is going on here.  Your wife has a fiancé?  Are you OK with that?:

The funny part to meeting the Mayor is that my wife's fiance was never much of a camper before he met her. They got a camper and he declared himself the Mayor of the river area of the campground. He's gone so far as to have t-shirts made up, and even added lettering to his beater of a truck saying "Mayor" at the window. My sister was NOT amused when I started looking for "Mayor" sashes after seeing the Main Street Mayor.

And a comment:

The situation you described about the service at Contempo Café is not unique to the Contemporary Resort.  Somewhere in some building over in Celebration, some genius with a new MBA decided that it would somehow be a good idea in the Deluxe Resort Quick Serves to have one CM take orders, write them up, and then hand a slip to the guest, who then has to go stand in another line to pay the cashier and be issued a pager (or at times a number to place on their table for a CM to deliver the food).  So guests, get to stand in two lines, and then have to wait for their pager to go off or for a CM to bring them their cold burger and fries.  How stupid is this?

Really stupid.  We just had an experience at the Mara at AKL where we went through that laborious process and then found a table to sit down at with our pager.  And we waited.  And then waited some more.  Guests who came in after us were getting their food. Guests who came in at the same time as us were eating, and some were almost done with their meals, and still we waited.  After 15 minutes of this, I finally take my pager and go to the pick up area.  I tried to make eye contact with a CM there.  Of course, none of them want to deal with a man holding a pager and making an angry face.  I finally have to speak up and ask one of them if they would mind checking on my order.  A young CM takes my receipt and pager, and calls to another CM who apparently is supposed to hang up the slips of paper and asks if he has an order matching my order number.  NO, he says.  The young lady then tells me, sorry, but she didn't have my order.  She asked me what I ordered and said they would put it together for me right away.  It was now 20 minutes since I ordered.  I asked for a manager.  There was one right back there with the CM's doing nothing but watch all of this go down.  I told him what had just happened.  He said, I'm sorry, sir, we will have your order for you right away, OK?  It told him, no, it was not OK.  I paid over $20 for crappy quick serve meals for two people. The least they could do is serve them somewhere near quick.   To make an already too long story short, I got my food along with a full refund.  Idiots.

1. My wife says it is The Wave.

2. And yes, we have an open relationship. Our second wedding is later this year when we are up near the Canadian border. OR not (though, I do know a trio who went to Dublin for a "commitment ceremony")... I meant to say, my SISTER'S fiancé is the mayor.

3. I've only eaten at a handful of quick serve places but this was by far consistent the worst. And it wasn't just one night it was bad. We went there for breakfast one day and were thoroughly underwhelmed - mostly with the service again.
