Katman1356...Jason 1,140
http://www.wdwmagic.com/resorts/disneys-wilderness-lodge-resort/news/16may2015-photos---plans-filed-for-waterside-disney-vacation-club-villas-at-disney's-wilderness-lodge-resort.htm Disney looks to be moving ahead with plans to add waterside Disney vacation Club villas to the Wilderness Lodge Resort.Permits and plans have been filed with the South Florida Water Management District showing a series of one story lodging buildings to the east and west of the Lodge fronting onto Bay Lake. Also included with the project are new restaurants and recreation buildings (also one story) together with new pools and upgrades to existing pools. The 26 waterside villas appear similar to the recently opened Bora Bora Bungalows at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, although the Wilderness Lodge units are not built onto the water. Wilderness Lodge already has a DVC component to the resort, so this will further add to that inventory and continues to expand the DVC presence at Walt Disney World.Disney has not yet made any announcement about the project. Momof6....aka Marty 769
Same as the thread on the Morocco restaurant. Read that as New Waterslide DVC at Wilderness lodge. BradyBzLyn...Mo

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
What does this mean for the Fort?
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
What does this mean for the Fort? My guess (and that's all it is) would be that it doesn't impact the Fort. It does seem to play into the theory that Disney is continuing down the path of adding DVC to existing resorts vs building a whole new one from scratch... which would be good news for those that don't want to see anything that does impact the Fort. As an aside, has anyone heard if the Bora Bora Bungalows at the Poly have sold out yet?
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I bet they will cost a couple of thousand per night. If they're only building 26, then I bet you're right.

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Poly sales must be good if they're going to build more that are similar.

lightbikes 73
Those will be EXPENSIVE!!!!
Travisma 1,317
Those will be EXPENSIVE!!!!They will be expensive, but possibly not as much as the Poly. Sounds like they will be on the shoreline and not on a pier. And they won't have as good of view of the MK fireworks.
lightbikes 73
From the plans in the article it will sure change the view from the Lodge and from the water
LONE-STAR 370
If they do this I wish they would connect the Lodge to the Fort with a frontier town with shops, entertainment, and restaurants. And plenty of golf cart parking at each place. wdwpoohbear...Jennifer and BradyBzLyn...Mo

FEARtheEERS 18
Frontier town sounds like fun! Sort of like the boardwalk type setup with the little shops. Uh oh this wouldn't work for the Rangers tho...can't get those golf carts close to the lodge!!! It would result in chaos I'm sure. :)
