Momof6....aka Marty 769
The next morning, we were awakened by our “wake-up call” from Baymax. I put it on speakerphone so we could both enjoy it. I think it was just too early for such things. Pretty soon, we were on a bus to the Magic Kingdom! Hey, look! A monorail! Photopass pictures from the front of Magic Kingdom When we had gone with the other offspring last fall, we had lined up for rope drop right at the front off to one side. Great for getting on rides first, but not good for seeing the rope drop show. This time we were toward the back but in the center, so we had a great view. This one is for DIT. The weather prediction for that day was thunderstorms, so we brought extra shoes in a backpack with our dinner in gladware containers with a homemade cold pack of ice in a ziploc wrapped in a towel borrowed from our room. Right after rope drop, we headed in to find a locker. Live and learn – the lockers are on the side of the railroad that is accessible before rope drop. It took a bit of muscle to get our backpack into the locker, but it fit. (Side note – in forcing the backpack in the locker, I apparently tore the ziploc that the ice was in. The backpack was soaked by the end of the day, but the food was nice and dry in the gladware.) Once done with that we headed in. I had hoped to ride in one of the antique vehicles down Main Street, but wasn’t willing to wait very long for one. We got some photos in front of the castle. Then we headed for Peter Pan. The new queue is amazing. TCD gave me some advice about the queue. Special things happen at each bedroom scene. Special shadow effect as you go through the queue. Something happens in the hall - Walk slow. If there are guests behind you, let them pass. This picture is also from the queue. Sarah took a picture of it because she thought the tree looks like the one where the Lost Boys live. Next, we used our first FP+ to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We were in the last car, which is less good for the pictures and especially the ride video, but was very fun and rocked a lot. Next, we headed for It's a Small World. On the way, Sarah took some pictures of the Neverland Map. We rode It’s a Small World and after that to Haunted Mansion. Then we headed for Splash Mountain. Sarah wanted to ride in the front row, so we did. We got soaked! Next, we used our second FP+ to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. As we exited the ride, we saw Jack Sparrow entertaining the crowd. (20) Next up was the Enchanted Tiki Room. Standing in line, I took this picture which I posted earlier on the “Where in the World?” thread. It was now lunchtime and we had a plan for that as well. We went to Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square and got two waffle sandwiches. One was ham, proscuitto, and cheese. The other was Nutella with fresh fruit. As you can see, I only remembered to take pictures after we tasted them. They were delicious, yet huge! I was glad I had some gallon sized ziplock bags in my purse. I put the leftovers in there and a short while later put those in my now damp backpack with the melting ice. Two quick notes: for a bag to carry into the parks, I had a Vera Bradley hipster. This is a perfect park bag; comfortable and worn cross-body, leaving my hands free to take pictures and to hold on for dear life on the rides. This bag was a gift from a dear Fiend. I don’t know if she knows how much I treasure that bag. <3 Unfortunately, I wasn’t completely hands-free, as I had a cup I was carrying everywhere. It was an old refillable Disney mug. I wanted to have it to encourage me to stay hydrated, but having to carry it all day was annoying. I had meant to bring a caribiner to hook it onto my purse. I looked into buying a caribiner in the park, but was told there were none. I did find one later in the week – a Mickey head key chain that worked like a carinbiner, but it was expensive. Also, the mug would drip water if turned even slightly on its side. Sarah carried a different re-usable water bottle that had a much better seal. We found a cool multi-tool at Curl in DTD the next day that had a part we could use as a bottle holder. By the end of the week, we were just sharing her bottle, as that was much easier. I need to take a break here. Next up will be more of our Magic Kingdom day. BradyBzLyn...Mo

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
TThe last time I prayed for patience, Rod Brown came into my life. Chris can help explain why I never prayed for patience again! Gross, expiclit, sexual innuendoes .. nope that's not the kind of patience I need! Although I did learn assertiveness from him. Momof6....aka Marty 769
After lunch, we made a quick trip to our locker. I had been wearing Chacos up to then, anticipating the predicted rain. We decided the rain was a no show (Yay!), so I changed into my sneakers when we dropped off our leftovers from lunch. We headed for TomorrowLand. Then we used our third FP+ to ride Space Mountain. I found out afterwards that my daughter actually held her iPhone up to video the first part of the ride. It’s a cool video, but I am very glad she didn’t drop the phone on the ride! Next, we went to the FP+ kiosk by Stitch’s ride and booked another FP+ for Buzz Lightyear. Then, because we were there and I had promised, we rode Stitch. It wasn’t as awful as I feared, but I have no desire to ride it again. Then we rode Buzz Lightyear I did not score well at all. I still had fun so it is all good. What next? Book another FP+! We got a FP+ to meet Mickey at the Town Square Theater for 8:20pm-9:20pm. Then we relaxed on the People Mover. I can’t remember if we went around twice or not. I know I thought about it. Castle Selfie! Then we looked for a place to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade. We ended up in front of the Liberty Tavern. Hidden Mickey! We had seen the parade last fall from over on Tom Sawyer’s Island. Seeing it up close meant much more interaction with the cast. Many noticed my tall red head and interacted with her. Sarah was a bit dissapointed that Ariel barely seemed to notice her, as she was DisneyBounding as Ariel that day. From there, we walked over to the railroad station to ride the Walt Disney Railroad around to Storybook Circus. We rode Dumbo. Next was Goofy’s Barnstormer which I really enjoyed. After that, we got some Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches. Then we rode the teacups. Sarah wanted to spin the teacup. I said she was paying for the trip, so she could spin the teacup. I tried to be good, but I really didn't enjoy the spinning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VplFNkzTm9Q Sarah rode again solo so she could spin as much as she wanted. It just isn’t as fun spinning by yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB-ZTdGLYHQ More on our day at the Magic Kingdom coming soon! BradyBzLyn...Mo

twiceblessed....nacole 433
Forgot to ask... how much does it cost to rent a locker? Is it an all-day rental, or do you unlock it and then have to pay again?
Momof6....aka Marty 769
Wow, you did so much on this day! This is why i was so tired when I got to WWW. Forgot to ask... how much does it cost to rent a locker? Is it an all-day rental, or do you unlock it and then have to pay again? The locker is an all day rental. You can come and go as much as you please, just don't lose the key. I think it was about $10. The downside of charging to the MB is it is just too easy.
fladogfan aka Gretchen 259
I was one of the 'kids' who loved to spin the tea cups, then age caught up with me. RATS!Even rides like spinning swings make my head not happy And it was ALWAYS more fun to spin someone who didn't want to be spun or spin with another crazy spinner to see how fast you could get it going. So spinning alone doesn't cut it.
