Tri-Circle-D 2,059
If you've always dreamt of visiting Tokyo Disneyland, now would be a good time. According to Fox News, the cost of a one day ticket at Tokyo Disneyland is almost half the cost of a one day ticket for the MK: http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2015/04/27/disney-world-orlando-is-worlds-most-expensive-disney-resort-park/ This Disney park is almost half the price of Disney World A one-day admission ticket to Disney World Orlando’s Magic Kingdom is now $105 for visitors 10 and over. At Disneyland in California, park admission is $99. But thanks to a weaker yen, visitors can go to Tokyo’s Disneyland or DisneySea for just $58 a day—nearly half of the cost of a U.S. cost. Even more surprising is that just four years ago, visitors paid about $92 for the same ticket. The Japanese tourism industry hopes a weak yen will continue to attract more tourism and possibly even more foreign investment, reports the Wall Street Journal.“Now that Japan has cost competitiveness, it’s more likely foreign people will pay attention,” said Junichi Miyagaki, head of the economic research department at NLI Research Institute, details in a recent report on Tokyo Disney. “If those foreigners learn once about the high quality of Japanese goods and services, they will likely keep buying those goods or using those services even if the yen strengthens a bit again.” TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I've also typically heard that you can pretty well cover both Tokyo parks in about 3 days, so that's a bargain for sure!! Now if only the air fare were half the price.
h2odivers...Ray 952
I'd love to visit Tokyo and several other cities in Asia but DW has absolutely no interest in visiting the Far East.

Same situation here - I'd love to go but every time I mention it, DH makes "that face."

momof3kids-Yvonne 596
Hmmm the company DH works for has an office in Tokyo. Surely there has to be a reason for him to have to go there for work at some point. Right?
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Thanks for the info. Airfare isn't as bad as you would think. We leave on Saturday for Anaheim Disneyland, Hong Kong disneyland and Tokyo Disney. Be back in two weeks. Wow, what an awesome trip! You're right about airfare. I have been using Google Flights to plan a trip that I'm going to be taking soon, and there are some very good bargains to be had on international flights. And the bargains are not limited to Asia-the decline in value of the Euro makes a trip to Europe about 25% cheaper this year than the same time last year. TCD

Starbuc71 162
Not to get off topic, but they really need to build a Brazil Disney Park. I think they could pull the revenue by just selling flags for all the tour groups that are local
