BuckeyeFortMama 43
1 stick of butter1 pkg dry onion soup mix2-4 lbs stew beefCook all ingredients on low in a crock pot for 6+ hours. Serve over pasta or rice. This doesn't ever get burnt edges and stew beef just gets better the longer you cook it which makes this my go to Disney recipe. No need to rush home from a park because the crock pot needs turned off. Enjoy!
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Sounds good. Do you brown the beef before you put it in the crock pot?

Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
I don't often visit this thread, but can a recipe be any easier? I gotta try this.
Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
This has become a favorite of ours. I don't use the soup mix as the first time I went to make it I forgot to buy soup mix. Just spice it up with out go to spices. If I have the time throw a little minced fresh garlic and chopped onion in at the beginning, mushrooms towards the end and when it's done I have started adding sour cream to make it like a stroganoff. Just to change things up a bit. Travels and reheat great! Infant I made a double batch the day before we went to the fort for Halloween. Yum yum Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
Forgot to add I sometimes add a little cornstarch to thicken it up when I put the sour cream in if it needs it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
CJHokie 43
You forgot the most important ingredient, a Crock Pot Liner!I loved those when they came out, but then I noticed they leak every time. I guess it saves scrubbing stuff stuck on the sides, but it annoys me.
Travisma 1,317
We use the ones from Aldis, only had 1 leak, and it was pulled pork that I was trying to chop up a little more, so I might've poked a hole thru it.
