Breaking: Disney's Magical Express contractor to cut 204 jobsMar 25, 2015, 11:03am EDT Updated: Mar 25, 2015, 11:09am EDTAnjali FlukerSenior Staff Writer- Orlando Business Journal The company tasked with shuttle service, luggage handling and other related services for the Disney's Magical Express plans to begin shedding 204 jobs in May. Aircraft Service International Group on March 25 filed a Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity notifying the state of its plans to begin laying off positions in transportation and warehousing at its facility on 6190 Cargo Road near Orlando International Airport. The company plans to cut those jobs on May 31, the notice showed. Representatives from the state economic development department were not immediately available with further details. However, the firm — which has its North American headquarters in Orlando — has several positions, both full- and part-time at the airport, listed on its website. Disney's Magical Express is a service that offers guests of the Walt Disney World Resort free direct luggage and transportation service to and from the airport.
