The "Hollywood Tower Hotel" structure is being repainted with special low volatile organic compound (low VOC) paint, which cuts down on environmental emissions. Standard paint contains volatile organic compounds, which create environmental emissions that can react with other elements to product ozone and cause air pollution. The environmentally friendly paint was also used during the just-finished refurbishment of Blizzard Beach.Walt Disney World has been using low VOC paints for the last two years, and has reduced the amount of VOC emissions from the resort by more than two-thirds.
