No more Vinylmation trading at WDW???

Recommended Posts

Hmm... I haven't run across anything on this, which in and of itself doesn't mean a whole lot, but I'm on the official Disney Merch Vinylmation page and all I'm finding are a lot of broken links.

The official Vinylmation FB page hasn't been updated since August and no one is replying to any questions being asked - and there are a lot, including people asking about new releases.

There is a comment by someone in FL (I don't think he's a Disney CM) that all trading at all 4 parks, DTD and possibly even DL have stopped. That might be what you saw?

Given the last of official current info., I'd say it's not looking good.

Just found this on Vinylmation Kingdom - not official Disney, but one of the most active Vinylmation fan sites...

What Is Going On With Vinylmation?
January 29, 2015

Today has been a strange day for Vinylmation collectors.

First off, Disney Artist Enrique Pita announced on Facebook that he hasn’t worked on a Vinylmation project since July and then Disney announce the GenEARation Event in September will focus primarily on Disney Pin Trading. And that while you are welcome to bring Vinylmation™ figures to trade with other Guests, they will not be offering Vinylmation™ trading activities or selling Vinylmation™ figures at the event.

The past few months we have seen less announcements and random releases.

So what does this mean for Vinylmation?

What’s going on?

We would love to hear from you guys?

This news came from the Orlando Attractions Magazine on Facebook. Here's what they said (on Feb 5):

"Today is the last day ever to trade Vinylmation at Walt Disney World. Disney will still be selling them and guests can still trade with each other."

To which I asked:

"I haven't found anything online to corroborate this. Any official news?"

They reply: "We confirmed it with Disney."
