Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
Anyone use one of these platforms to carry wheelchairs? Is 60 x 20 inch enough (for very occasional use)? Have you used a cover such as a grill cover? Does the mesh base in wet weather allow road spray/dirt to get under whatever you are carrying? Northern Tool has one for $80....some assembly required. Looking to carry two wheelchairs with push handles and foot rests removed.EDIT: I before E, except after C. Or when sounded as A, as in Neighbor or Weigh. I do know how to spell RECEIVER. But I don't know how to correct it.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
If you edit the first post and then click on the full editor it lets you change the title. Make sure it says something about cinnamon buns.
Specularius 102
I would check your local Craig's list. You can find good used ones cheap.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
We use a grill cover for Rick's ECV when it sits outside at the Fort. Also before I got the truckbed shell, we used the grill cover when the ECV traveled in the back of the truck. Just put some bungies around the bottom
Snarky-Fairy 1
Fixed it for you. Your welcome. Just don't let it happen again!
Travisma 1,317
Harbor Freight has the typical steel ones and then an aluminum one. I've seen the steel ones for as little as $39 when they have a parking lot sale. Currently for 500 pound capacity, they are $70 for steel and $100 for aluminum. They also have a ramped mobility carrier for $
LONE-STAR 370
We have a mobility scooter hauler made of steel has a folding ramp on it plus it folds up towards the truck. But I don't like using it because it is to darn heavy to take in and out of the hitch. We bought the aluminum scooter hauler from Harbor freight. We haven't used it yet but it is lighter then the steel one.
Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
Ha e used the one on the back of our trailer to carry a wheelchair, a tarp under then wrapped over would help with road dirt as well as rain. Another option that might work would be a hitch mounted bike rack.
