BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Sign me up for this one! From the Disney Food Blog...http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/06/10/2015-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-news-menu-for-mexico-tequila-tasting-lunch/ 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival News: Menu for Mexico Tequila Tasting Lunch June 10, 2015 By AJWe’ve confirmed that Tequila Pairing Lunches in the Mexico Pavilion are back as part of the Special Events line up! I had the chance to attend the luncheon a while back. It was a great way to spend the afternoon — sampling tequila, and learning how this versatile spirit can pair beautifully with different menu items. In anticipation of this year’s lineup, our friends from the Mexico Pavilion recently held a tasting to determine just what would make the menu cut. We’re excited to share some menu descriptions straight from La Cava del Tequila! Let’s take a closer look.Menu Planned for the Tequila Pairing Lunch at the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival When I attended the Tequila Pairing Lunch, we enjoyed four courses, paired with three different tequilas as well as Agovera Liqueur. (This event is not for the faint of heart. ) Display Table at Entry of Luncheon As of the writing of this post, the lunch will include four courses paired with tequilas. But please keep in mind, the dishes are subject to change! Anything is possible between now and Festival Go-Time on September 25! Your journey through the world of tequila will start with a Flautas de Carnitas — a mini crispy Flauta filled with Pork Carnitas and accompanied by Avocado, Cream, Queso Foam, Roasted Serrano Pepper, and Tomato. Flautas de Carnitas The next course, Sopa de Chile Poblano y Calabaza, will be prepared with Roasted Poblano Pepper, Zucchini, Cilantro, Queso Fresco, and Guajillo Pepper Oil. The Main Entrée will be a combination of Mar y Tierra– Pan-Seared Snapper and New York Strip — served with a creamy Potato Puree, Cactus Salad, Tequila and Dried Peppers Butter Sauce. It won’t look exactly like the two pictures below — it’s likely to be a combo plate — but these photos will give you an idea. Mar y Tierra: Pan Seared Fish Taco Mar y Tierra: New York Strip A Sweet Ending to the meal will feature a fun play on a classic — Pudin de Pan, or Bread Pudding with Chocolate Dirt, atop Vanilla Ice Cream. (Note that the dessert will not include the Tequila Cream shown in the photo below.) Pudin de Pan: Bread Pudding with Chocolate Dirt Will Be Served Vanilla Ice Cream Once again, we’ll reiterate that these menu items are tentative, and presentations are likely to change. Still, it’s very exciting to get a sneak peek into the creative process…and makes me want to head to La Cava for some tequila! And I don’t know about you, but this definitely whets my appetite for more Food and Wine Festival Special Event information!

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Could Have it’s Own MagicBandJune 10, 2015 by Anonymouse Hola ladies and gents! I know you already know who this is! You are correct it is “I” the amazing, incredible, Anonymouse. Today I have some pretty good gossip for all of you MagicBand collectors. I have been hearing that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will have it’s very own special MagicBand. I know this is big, I love MagicBands and have a pretty good collection myself. But wait there is a catch, isn’t there always a catch? The catch is that you can only get the special band when you book a premium package add on. Which happened last year but you could only get it if you were staying on property and the cost was about $200 a person. We do not know how much it will cost this year, but I assuming it will be a bit more expensive. http://www.chipandco.com/epcot-international-food-wine-festival-magicband-213983/

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The Disney Parks Blog just posted that the Food and Wine food booths will be expanding in to Future World this year: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/07/20th-epcot-international-food-wine-festival-expands-for-first-time-into-future-world/ Along the walkway toward Future World West, the new Artistry of Wine & Cheese festival area will feature the Cheese Studio (offering a cheese sampler served on an artist’s palette to pair with wines) and the Wine Studio with premium wines on tap – each keg keeps the wine super fresh and holds the equivalent of 26 bottles, eliminating bottle, cork, cardboard and paper waste. Bottles, corks and materials from other marketplaces are recycled. Then, near the Epcot Character Spot, the new Next Eats area will debut with Sustainable Chew and Chew Lab marketplaces inspired by ABC’s Emmy-Award® winning lifestyle series “The Chew,” starring co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz. Sustainable Chew will feature three dishes, and Chew Lab will show off hot culinary tech trends like a Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel That's the first I've heard of that. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Official confirmation from the Disney Parks Blog that registration for Food & Wine Festival special events will open to the general public July 30... Bookings Begin July 30 for Premium Events for Epcot International Food & Wine Festivalposted on July 16th, 2015 by Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer There are more ways than ever to celebrate at the 20th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival September 25-November 16 – and while plenty of events are included with park admission, we look forward each fall to the over-the-top “premium events.” Get ready to book your reservations when the phone lines open at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 30: 407/WDW-FEST (939-3378). And while some favorites fill up fast, there are lots of new events to celebrate the festival’s 20 years at Walt Disney World Resort. Some events can be booked at epcotfoodfestival.com: culinary demos, beverage seminars, mixology seminars, general admission for Party for the Senses and general admission for the Rockin’ Burger Block Party. Check out all the events at the website, then get set to dial or book online! http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/07/bookings-begin-july-30-for-premium-events-for-epcot-international-food-wine-festival/ Disney Food Blog is expecting that F&W special event registration will open to Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents a week prior, but I haven't seen any official confirmation of that yet. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
So after the big splash made by Puerto Rico in 2014, including rumors that Puerto Rico wanted to sponsor a full-time pavilion in Epcot, they just disappear for 2015? Muy extraño. TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo
